Branded as TVB’s next #1 brother, Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) has recently been linked with his Love Exceeds the Coastline <情越海岸綫> costars, Selena Li (李詩韻) and Lee Yee Man (李綺雯). The 35-year-old “diamond bachelor” stayed single since breaking up with ATV actress and former Miss Asia, Eunis Yiu (姚佳雯) in 2010. Recent reports indicate that Lee Yee Man had been actively pursuing Ruco, but was ultimately defeated by love rival, Selena in the end!
Lee Yee Man Loses to Selena Li
Lee Yee Man and Ruco first met on the set of ATV’s crime drama Hong Kong Criminal Files <香港奇案實錄> in 2006. During the drama’s broadcast, Lee Yee Man announced that she would be leaving ATV for TVB. Ruco attended her farewell party and gave her his blessings, confessing that he would miss her dearly. Touched by Ruco’s encouraging words, Lee Yee Man took the initiative to treat Ruco for dinner and the two remained in contact ever since. After Ruco joined TVB in 2008, Lee Yee Man insisted that she and Ruco were still close friends.
Earlier, the cast of Love Exceeds the Coastline filmed a beach volleyball scene in Café Bay, Tuen Mun. Much to Lee Yee Man’s disappointment, Ruco kept his distance from her. Although Ruco and Selena interacted little on screen, they appeared close together off screen. Selena was even caught sitting in Ruco’s own personal work chair, as if declaring herself to be the winner in this love rivalry!
Spotted Walking Their Dogs Together
Earlier, Selena and Ruco were spotted walking their dogs together near Ruco’s apartment in Tseung Kwan O. Further fueling their dating rumors, Selena recently professed that she is currently seeing someone, but did not specify whether it was Ruco. An insider revealed, “Selena and Ruco are always talking about their dogs together. Selena even bought dog food for Ruco’s dog. They are so close to the point that it doesn’t feel like they are working together for the first time!”
Ruco Chan Denies Dating Selena Li
On July 3rd, Ruco went on Eileen Cha’s (查小欣) radio show to promote his new drama, No Good Either Way <衝呀！瘦薪兵團>. When asked about his rumors with Selena, Ruco laughed and said, “We’re not dating, but I will let everyone know if I’m dating someone!”

Perhaps it was a promotion made by TVB for their new drama series “Love Exceeds the Coastline”. Selena Li and Chin Pang were paired up as a couple in the series.

I remember at the costume fitting for “Love Exceeds the Coastline,” Ruco even uttered Selena’s name incorrectly. He often appears to put his female costars (especially if they are beautiful, single women) at arm’s length, as if scared of romantic rumors.
Ruco does not come across as a big flirt at all. While he may have chatted with Selena about their dogs (very safe topic btw), I doubt she bought dog food for his dog.
Secretly, I’m still rooting for Kenneth Ma and Selena Li.
I thought Selena is still not into good guys so to speak? Maybe Kenneth should learn to go out to pubs and what nots more?
Selena should be careful not to let gossips with her male co-stars ruin her career, not unlike Sonija Kwok.

Despite the nightclub photos, Selena’s image seems quite clean. Since she comes from a good background and was well educated in Canada, coupled with her demeanor in interviews, I would say that she is even “too clean”!
Maybe not as “virtuous” as Linda Chung, but very close! Selena and Linda are TVB’s vanilla flavored actresses, well loved by many due to its pleasant flavor, but also criticized by others as not exciting enough.

Kenneth claims to have a lusty mind and dirty mouth, so maybe he was trying to appear more “wild” to appeal to Selena, who seeks excitement in her romantic life?
I don’t think Ruco is selena’s type b/c he seems even more boring than Kenneth. At least Kenneth knows how to flirt a little. Judging f/ her previous bf Patrick tang, I think selena likes guys that are kinda glib.

Many actors have been dubbed “diamond bachelors” at TVB recently. I believe Moses Chan was the first generation. Then it was Kevin Cheng, Kenneth Ma, Jason Chan, and Ruco Chan who have been labelled in this manner recently.

I think of “diamond bachelor” as being a little older, like George clooney type. So Kevin would probably win tvb’s diamond bachelor title. The other guys are younger so “hot property” would be more appropriate.

I wholdheartedly agree with you, wen wen. To me Kevin is the perfect gentleman, especially with ladies,and as the report on the interview with him at the ATA awards in Singapore went, Kevin spoke his mind but never sounded brash or boastful, which speaks a lot for one who had just won so many prizes at one go.
As for Selena and Ruco, I’m not so sure Selina is serious. She just knows how to get around men with her winsome and flirty(in a nice way)ways.She knows quite exactly whom she wants and is just waiting for the right man to come her way. I’m saying this because she has been paired up with so many handsome guys yet nothing has come of it. Don’t know about Ruco though.
I actually really like this pairing, and judging from all the filming pictures that were posted on Weibo, they also seem to share great chemistry. Looking forward to this! They are also very adorable with each other in interviews
