Shu Qi Denies Staying At Leehom Wang’s House Overnight thumbnail

According to Taiwan magazine reports, there were rumors of “Golden Songs King” Leehom Wang (王力宏) and “Golden Horse Best Actress” Shu Qi (舒淇) having an underground relationship for three years in the past, which led to a huge stir back then.

In recent days, there were sources indicating that sparks rekindled between Leehom and Shu Qi and even pointing out that Shu Qi went to Leehom’s residence in Taipei in the middle of the night. Last month, they also apparently returned back to Hong Kong together from New York.

However, both parties denied the allegations. Shu Qi explained that she went to the United States for a work trip. With regards to a source last month citing that her younger brother drove her into Leehom’s apartment building and only leaving the next day to dine with good sister-friend, Kelly Lin Hsi-Lei (林熙蕾), Shu Qi replied that she was speaking the truth when she stated that a friend of hers has been living in that building for a long time now. Shu Qi also smiled wryly, “They wrote the article in a really interesting and colorful way; I clap my hands and give them credit for it.”

On the other hand, Leehom’s manager, Maggie Hsu (许玉琴), also clarified those rumors, “On that fateful day, not long after Leehom reached home, he rushed out to the recording studio and did not head back home for the rest of the night. He only returned home the very next day. ” Leehom’s manager used Leehom’s absence from the scene to squash those rumors and at the same time emphasized that Leehom and Shu Qi were just friends.

When asked whether the two of them had linked hands and dated in New York, Leehom gave a vague answer, “My family is in New York, so of course I will go back to New York!”

I don’t mind them really dating since both are single and I like both. :D

    2. Sammie says:

Why denied she is staying overnight at Lee Leehom Wang’s place, Shu Qi isn’t exactly wholesome or virgin like. One just needs to google Shu Qi to see her nude photos and her x-rated full frontal porn tapes….She is the cheapest actress ever.

      • cinsin says:

hmm…maybe it’s not true? lol I don’t know, but artistes always deny everything so it’s not surprising…

      • Ah K says:

        @Sammie:

Speaking of Shu Qi, I just want to share that, once, I came across this forum and there was a guy who commented that comparing Shu Qi and Lin Chi Ling side by side, he would rather take Lin Chi Ling anytime of the day as she was more “wife material” whereas Shu Qi was not an ideal girlfriend since she was involved in making R-rated movies during the early stages of her career.

I think that this comment is extremely shallow as who didn’t err? Who doesn’t have a past? Looking down on someone just because of her past history is just being shallow, at least to me.

If rich, who wants to be a pauper? (有头发谁想做秃子)During those days, Shu Qi ran away from her Taiwan home to come all the way to Hong Kong and she was only 17, still young and naive back then thus her thinking hasn’t matured as yet. Plus, she was alone and penniless and because she had a strained relationship with her mom back then, she didn’t want to keep asking for money and no one taught her what was morality and what was wrong or right so she naturally trusted her agent blindly and decided to shoot nude photos for some income. Yes, some may criticize her that she deserved it for taking her virgin step into the never-turning-back porn industry but how sensible were you at age 17? Were you alone in a foreign country and not least to say, penniless?

Anyway, even criminals get a second stab at life so shouldn’t Shu Qi too? I have read an interview before that Shu Qi has an unwritten rule that reporters are not allowed to ask questions regarding her R-rated past and it was not because she’s trying to be difficult but because she was ashamed of that past. Shu Qi also revealed that it was also due to her R-rated past that her mother actually cried one day so I guess it remains one of the lifetime regret of her life?

Yes, you are right to a certain extent that Shu Qi was cheap to star in those R-rated movies back then as no matter how young someone is, she must bear responsibilities for her own actions. But I think she has paid her dues already, no? Because a few years down the road, some people will still see her as that girl who shot porn movies in the past and not take a second glance at her purely for her acting ability. Furthermore, in 2009, she did good from charity acts by partnering Paint-a-Smile foundation to transform the murals on the walls of the cardiology department at the Beijing Children’s Hospital.

Yes, she may be cheap but you can’t deny that Shu Qi has the intelligence and the guts to successfully break out of traditional conventions from the porn industry into the much more legitimate entertainment industry. And furthermore, in recent years, she was able to become a member of the jury at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, which is not a normal feat for any artiste and not least to say, an Asian artiste.

I think it would be good for anyone to read this article about her as it provides many insights about her much talked-about controversial past:

        • Moon says:

I agree with you. Don’t judge the book by it cover because everyone had a past. If the person truly love you, they would accept your past and who you are.

        • Miss China says:

I agree with you. And Shu Qi isn’t a bad actress. She seems to be a nice person and I personally like her. I don’t like judging a person so easily…

        • Critics says:

I believe Shu Qi is more honest than Lin Chi Ling.

Lin Chi Ling has a silent agenda – wealth, fame and power.

    3. le says:

I am disappointed of this news if it’s true. Lee Hom is too good for tarnished Shu Qi. I guess love is blind.

    4. Doua says:

Who cares about her past, she is still one of the hottest Asian actress in the industry. Even Hollywood is picking her up. Despite her past, we still want more of Shu Qi. She is still one of the highest paid actress.

    5. Soo San says:

Angelina Jolie strips all the time but no one gives a damn. Give Shu Qi credits. She made a mistake and has to live with the stigmata publicly. If LeeHom is so superficial, he does not deserve to be with her.

    6. JamesBalalabad says:

I wonder why they kept denying it when it is in fact the truth. How long is LeeHom gonna go around “protecting” his partner and vice versa, sooner or later they will be made public too. Wouldn’t it be easier if they just admit it so they can go around their business without having to resort to clandestine meetings for the paps will always be there anyway.
