Cha Eun Woo Remains Humble Despite Fame
Possessing a photogenic face with no bad angles, Cha Eun Woo became Korean’s biggest heartthrob after taking part in a series of dramas, including: My ID is Gangnam Beauty, True Beauty, Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung, and Island. His upcoming projects include Korean drama A Good Day to Be a Dog, as well as Hollywood film K-POP: Lost in America.
Starring alongside Rebel Wilson and Charles Melton, Eun Woo will be playing a member of a newly formed Korean boyband scheduled to debut in New York, but gets accidentally stranded in Texas. With no phones and no money, the boyband members go through a series of mishaps before their debut concert.
Previously revealing that he is in the middle of practicing his English, Eun Woo will finally be able to put his language skills to good use.
Cha Eun Woo remains humble and hopes to improve
Although handsome onscreen, Eun Woo’s acting in Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung was heavily criticized by netizens who said his facial expressions only consisted of widening his eyes and opening his mouth. Taking the comments to heart, Eun Woo worked on improving his acting and put his new skills to use when he starred in True Beauty as a good-looking genius. Although his performance improved, Eun Woo humbly gave himself a score of 60 percent, and said he still has a lot to learn.
Eun Woo’s good looks are acknowledged by industry peers. Super Junior’s Kim Hee Chul joked, “I’m annoyed every time I see his handsome and cute face in idol dramas.” SHINee’s Key also exclaimed that he has a hard time believing someone could be as tall and handsome as Eun Woo.
Responding to the compliments, Eun Woo humbly replied, “It’s a good feeling when someone compliments you, but I think everyone has their own unique charm. For example, my mom often tells me that I’m ugly and that I shouldn’t be overly confident. Everyone’s opinions are different – it’s natural for some people to think I’m not good looking.”
