Cecilia Cheung to Star in Marie Zhuge’s New Movie

Although blasted for her poor work ethics by her ex-manager, Tiffany Chan (陳嵐), Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝) received support from good friend Marie Zhuge (諸葛紫岐), who wants to cast the actress in a new movie. Since working with Cecilia in All’s Well, Ends Well 2011 <最強囍事>, Marie has admired Cecilia’s bravery and dedication to raising her two sons as a single mother.

Married to Neway Entertainment heir Ernie Sit (薛嘉麟), Marie was a former model. She recently became interested in the movie industry and invested in a big-budget movie. Ignoring Ernie’s advice, Marie wants to feature Cecilia as the lead actress.

However, due to Cecilia’s unpredictable behavior, Marie will require the actress to sign a filming agreement outlining clear expectations. If Cecilia violates the agreement, she would have to compensate the company for their losses.

Marie and Ernie Encounter First Fight Since Marriage

Dubbed as a golden couple, Marie and Ernie previously revealed that they have never fought since their marriage. However, due to disagreements on casting Cecilia in Marie’s new movie, the couple argued for the first time, even ignoring each other for over a week.

Unable to change his wife’s mind, Ernie expressed, “Work and personal matters should be separate. Personal matters shouldn’t be brought to work and vice versa. You have to be careful when it comes to doing business or making investments – especially in the performing arts. It’s not all about what you want to do; you have to assess the situation, the market, and many other reasons before going ahead with the plan. That’s business!”

Although unhappy that her husband is upset with her decision, Marie stands firmly behind Cecilia and urged the public to wait for the official announcement before commenting.
