Damian Lau and Michelle Yim Go On Hiking Dates

As Hong Kong battles its third wave of COVID-19 infections, regular citizens are doing whatever it takes to get their lives back on routine. To help prevent the spread, everyone is doing their part in social distancing and wearing masks, even while they are exercising outdoors.

Michelle Yim (米雪), under the influence of her good friend and fellow actor Chow Yun Fat (周潤發), has developed an interest in hiking as a hobby. She’s recently went hiking with her close friend Damian Lau (劉松仁), who was rumored to have suffered a serious fall, rendering him the need to ambulate with a cane.

The 64-year-old actress said, “Won’t stop running even with the mask! Won’t stop our friendship even with social distancing!”

Earlier this year, Hong Kong news media reported the rumor that Damian had suffered a stroke. The speculations came after a new photo of Damian surfaced, with the actor looking very frail and skinny. Michelle, Damian’s close friend of over 30 years, had to clarify to the press that Damian had a fall, and not a stroke.

Michelle and Damian’s friendship started in the 1980s, when they were both filming for ATV. They were known by many as Hong Kong’s best onscreen couple.

Their friendship is over 30 years strong. With Damian’s health becoming a growing concern, Michelle has been spending more time with Damian, becoming hiking partners. The two often hang out together and with their close friends while exercising and eating brunch.
