Daniel Wu (吳彥祖) will be joining the likes of Jimmy Lin (林志穎), Aaron Kwok (郭富城), and Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) in becoming an actor turned sports car racer.
Two days ago, the Chinese American actor shared on his Instagram that he has officially completed the courses necessary to qualify for a racing license distributed by the Sports Car Club of America, a non-profit organization supporting road racing and motorsport rallying.
“Three diplomas within a month?” wrote Daniel. “What’s going on here? I am certainly doing a lot of learning the past couple months! I now officially qualify to get my SCAA racing license!”
Daniel shared that he has always wanted to be an auto racer, and he plans to focus on developing his auto racing skills professionally. He had been quietly working towards the goal of racing in the past five years. It was a scary start, and Daniel said it took him a while to get used to the road. He’s finally learned how it feels like to become one with his car.
