Elaine Ng Never Received Alimony from Jackie Chan
In a recent television program, Elaine Ng (吳綺莉) revealed that she has never received alimony from former lover Jackie Chan (成龍) and said she does not want to be associated with him anymore.
Elaine entered the entertainment industry after winning 1990’s Miss Asia Pageant. Though her acting career was successful, she was pushed to further notoriety after giving birth to daughter Etta Ng (吳卓琳) in 1999. Since Jackie was already married to Joan Lin (林鳳嬌), Elaine and Jackie’s affair did not end on graceful terms. Jackie even initially denied that the baby was his, upon which Elaine demanded for a DNA test. Disappointed with Jackie’s response, Elaine decided that she will raise her daughter on her own.
Recently, it was reported that Etta had injured herself at home; a broken piece of glass had cut into her hand. Not wanting to burden her mother, who has holding a meeting at the time, Etta patched up the wound herself with a towel. The wound never stopped bleeding, eventually alerting Elaine. Etta received seven stitches at the hospital without any complaints. Not only did Etta show a strong front, she also expressed her concern for Elaine’s heart problems, touching her mother deeply.
Elaine said she feels great heartache for Etta. Elaine, who had a tough upbringing, raised Etta very strictly, but the mother and daughter are closer than ever. Elaine said Etta never asked about her father, Jackie. Elaine also revealed that Jackie has never given her alimony over the years. Nonetheless, Elaine stressed that she is still a mother and does not want to be associated with Jackie anymore.
“It’s all in the past. I have no relationship with that person anymore,” Elaine said.

Oh, so it’s all the woman’s false. It takes two to tango and making a baby. If Jackie didn’t want to leave his “seeds” than don’t have sex or use the freaking condom. There’s consequence for every action that you do. It’s acceptable for him to “hate” Elaine but Etta is his “real blood”. His blood is running inside her body even though he denied it . Jackie and his wife were so cruel toward Elaine and Karma has served them right. Look where is Jaycee Chan now with all the money they fought and saved for him.

Cheating is his fault. But she also bears the responsibility. She should have known the consequences. Was she expecting jackie to divorce and be with her?

Not that I want to be a grammar nazi or anything but alimony: a husband’s or wife’s court-ordered provision for a spouse after separation or divorce. Since they were never married, the word should be “financial support”…
The kid is innocent and most likely it was an accident. I understand that Jackie may not want to give alimony to Elaine and I think alimony wasn’t necessary but he should at least give child support through paying directly to an account (or directly to the third party) where Elaine can only use it on childcare, education, and necessity.

I have no respect for Jackie Chan whatsoever. Sure, I acknowledge that he is a great actor/Kungfu stuntman, however, as a man and as a father,he should have been more responsible. It is sad to see that the only time Etta can see her biological father is over the internet or on some movie poster.
It’s also even harder to swallow when she realize her father is this international star with so much money, yet, would not acknowledge a daughter like her.
I don’t think Jackie ever wanted Etta. I think he told Elaine to get an abortion except Elaine didn’t want to give the baby up. So Etta really was an unwanted child from Jackie’s angle, but he still should’ve done a better job as a dad, not just for Etta but his son as well. To be fair he was an equally horrible dad for both of them. The price of fame and lack of restrictions i guess.
I totally agree with your comment. But on the other hand, it doesn’t seem like Etta cares about this “dad” of hers anymore. Maybe she’ll acknowledge him as her biological father but I think it’s obvious that she probably won’t ever think of him as a fatherly figure in her life.

Well, the girl isn’t his legitimate daughter since she’s not using his surname. Biologically she “might” be Jackie’s daughter. Poor girl, she has to live with it all her life.
He should at least play his duty as a father in term of education support. None. Terrible. What is the point of having loads of money when the basic responsibility, moral is not there?

That’s what happen to jackie when he got too hom sup on elaine and feeling good doing her. Hope it was worth the lust Jackie. You know nowadays, Lust comes first before love, if there were any in the first place. Jackie should had pulled out his ding dong but he had to feel good all the way and now he suffers the consequences for being an axxhole.
It’s so easy to just blame the guy. Both are in the wrong. If there are proof that the child is his, if it goes to court, there’s a high chance he has to pay for child support. Did it go to court? Anyone considered private settlement?
I don’t recall her being successful. She appeared in some series but to be successful you really need to be like Charmaine Sheh, Gigi Lai, Ada Choi etc.

Not helping jackie but if any of you followed the story, it seems like Elaine used her daughter to get money from jackie… what’s the point of putting the daughter in front of the whole hong kong and complaining that she doesn’t want anything to do with him. She keeps saying that, but she’s the one that keeps bringing up the situation over and over…
