Him Law Doesn’t Tell Tavia Yeung When He Gets Injured On Set

The filming portion of Armed Reaction 2020 <陀槍師姐2020> will soon come to an end, but that doesn’t mean the cast are getting any opportunity to rest.

Yesterday Him Law (羅仲謙) and Gabriel Harrison (海俊傑) filmed a boat chase sequence near a shipyard in Tai Po. Him shared that the entire sequence took about six to seven hours to complete, and they have been working since six in the morning. While Him had already prepared by taking motion sickness pills, he still felt ill and tired.

“I’m really tired,” said Him in an interview later that afternoon. “I’ve been in the sun all day. I can barely keep my eyes open. I’m so sleepy. We’re still not done with the scene. That’s why I’m more tired than usual.”

Pointing out that he still has to go home to take care of his daughter, Him said, “Yes. That’s why I have to be even more careful. I don’t want my family to worry.” Did his wife, Tavia Yeung (楊怡), tell him to be more careful? “Of course.”

Armed Reaction 2020 had been a tough series to film. Gabriel Harrison said he had injured Him’s cheek while doing an earlier fight sequence a few days prior. “I knew he had a great voice. I wasn’t expecting him to have good internal energy too,” said Him with a laugh. Gabriel explained, “I injured him on this cheek, but the next day he told me his other cheek was hurting!”

Him also injured his foot, but he did not tell Tavia about the injury. “I don’t want her to yell at me!” he said. Gabriel added, “Now that’s a real man. If it was me, I scream in pain and call for my wife!”

Him and Tavia’s daughter is already two months old, but due to work, Him hasn’t found the time to care for his daughter. “After I’m done with filming, I’m going to focus on my daughter. Learn how to change diapers, feed her, and wash her. Right now I can still do them, but I’m very clumsy. My wife is already a pro.”

Armed Reaction 2020 is a spin-off of TVB’s police drama franchise Armed Reaction, which was started in 1998. The spin-off also stars Jessica Hsuan (萱萱), Moses Chan (陳豪), Joyce Tang (滕麗名), Hui Shiu-hung (許紹雄), and Tony Hung (洪永城).
