Jacqueline Law Drops to 80 Pounds Due to Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer
Despite earlier rumors that Jacqueline Law had entered the hospital for treatment of pancreatic cancer, the former TVB actress remained tight-lipped regarding her condition. Due to her refusal to clarify the state of her health condition, speculations regarding Jacqueline’s condition varied widely. According to Sunday Magazine, Jacqueline’s weight dropped to 80 pounds due to long-term chemotherapy treatment.
In 2008, Jacqueline married wealthy Singaporean businessman, Lau Chi Man, enjoying a semi-retired, leisurely lifestyle. Unfortunately, Jacqueline was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer two years ago, upon which she started chemotherapy. Despite her turbulent state of health, Jacqueline requested that her doctor halt all future chemotherapy treatment.
Facing her condition positively, Jacqueline continued to live life fully, spending time with close friends such as Kitty Lai (黎美嫻) and Monica Chan (陳法蓉). Spotted earlier visiting a medicinal spa, 45-year-old Jacqueline appeared as thin as a bamboo stick. However, she may have intended to look her best while waiting for her husband to get off work.

Yes, very sad, usually people under 60s are unusual unless you are a heavy smoker. Not sure if she was or still is a smoker, just curious.
I don’t think so since no one truly knows the cause of cancer and it can strike you at anytime and any age.
Not really because I just lost a friend to cancer and he was only 31. Anyone at any age can have cancer. I am not sure if she ever smoked or not.
Poor Jacqueline Law! She never had a very happy time in her life ….. , got dumped by her ex-boyfriend, Stephen Chow, had hearing problems after a diving accident and, as a result, stopped her acting career. Thought she got married happily with a good and wealthy husband in 2008 and just 2 years later she is in stage 3 pancreatic cancer.
Feel very sorry for her …… May God bless her and give her less pain.

Yea, it is sad and I really hope that she will live her life to the fullest now. Many people take life for granted until it is too late. Wish her the best! I was recently rewatcing Final Combat with her and Stephan and they were all so cute… I really miss seeing her act. SHe is such a great actress.

The life expectancy is not good for people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer stage 3. The average person will only live for 3 to 6 months. Was she a smoker? smokers have a much higher risk of developing pancreatic cancer. Remember Patrick Swayze, he dies in 2009 from pancreatic cancer. He was a heavy smokers. Although he was only 57 but he looks like much older with the illness like in his 70s. Here is the link of him right before he dies.

I think she is starting to look like an old lady and losing weight is a part of it. So please people DON’T smoke!
Highly likely back in 80s and early 90s in her peak career, she might have been a smoker
Back then I did not know if many artists smoked but I am not that shocked now since many of them do or did. I am not sure if it is only smoking that causes it. I know many people that smoke but they never developed cancer. I think it just varies…
Actually, there was this professor randy Pausch who died from pancreatic cancer in 2008. He presented a lecture, it was for his kids so that when they get older, they will know who is their daddy. Here is the link,

Perhaps, Jacqueline could do something useful right before she dies, she still has about 3 to 6 months left. Just be happy and do something useful so your friends, relatives, and loved ones will remember you when you are gone.
Hopefully some of you will watch that video from Professor Randy Pausch, it’s really good. Just hope some of you will hold back your tears afterward. I did learned something valuable from his LAST LECTURE.
Jacqueline has a life with full of sadness. I feel very sorry for her. My grandma passed away few years ago due to Pancreatic cancer so I can understand how hurt it can be. Wish her all the best.

cancer is evil. As someone battling cancer the last three year myself I know exactly how she feels. I will keep her in my prayers.

I think Jacqueline is a strong, resilient woman and I admire her for that. It seems she has been.unlucky in life but still very happy atm albeit sick.

Cancer Cancer i always heard people getting them which really sad.
Jacqueline is very strong just like her character in the Legend of the Book and the Sword. No wonder she played the character so well.. We all wish her the best always!!
Just saw Jacqueline transfer to the Critical Care Unit of Mt Elizabeth Hospital this morning. Looks like she’s in lots of pain. Most of her hair gone now. Feel so sad for her. 2 weeks back, saw Monica Chan here too with a few others.
