Joey Meng Has Rape Scene in “Fatal Resurrection”

Roger Kwok (郭晉安) and Joey Meng (萬綺雯) attended the initiation ceremony for their upcoming TVB drama Fatal Resurrection <致命復活> today.

Roger was asked about the rumor that another drama he had filmed last year, The Last Healer in the Forbidden City <末代御醫> will not be broadcast TVB due to its low production standards. He said, “Really? I didn’t know. I haven’t received any notification. Well, everyone will know when the drama is broadcast. There is no need for any speculation or worry. This was a big-budget production with lots of resources put into it. I don’t think they will cancel it.” Would cancelling the drama mean that Roger does not get to collect his wages? Roger said in jest, “I’ve already collected all of it. I would feel very bad if the drama ended up being cancelled.”

For Fatal Resurrection, Joey will be filming upcoming scenes in Vietnam. In particular, there will be a rape scene. Roger joked that Joey was unable to escape the fate of being “raped” whether she was at ATV or TVB. Joey expressed that she has only been involved in a few rape scenes in her acting career. She laughed and added that her male co-star would usually be more nervous when filming such scenes. She recounted a hilarious moment where her co-star once asked her, “Am I allowed to rip your shirt apart?”
