Kim Tae Ri and Oh Jung Se Hunt Down Evil Spirits in “The Demon”

Twenty-Five Twenty-One’s Kim Tae Ri and It’s Okay to Not be Okay star Oh Jung Se will be returning as ghost hunters in SBS’s upcoming supernatural occult thriller The Demon. Despite a June 2023 release, fans are already excited by its intensely dark and mysterious vibes in the latest 15-second teaser.

The Demon tells an ominous, hair-raising story following part-time worker Ku San Young (Kim Tae Ri) discovering strangle articles left behind by her father one day and gets involved in a series of mysterious deaths. During her fight against demons, she meets university folklore professor Yeom Hae Sang (Oh Jung Se) who has the ability to see evil spirits. Confronted by the same demon who killed his mother haunting San Young, he proposes to uncover the truth and eradicate all evil together.

Winning awards at the Baeksang Arts Awards, both Tae Ri and Jung Se are well-recognized for their versatile acting skills. Challenging themselves again with a dark supernatural genre, many have strong faith that they will impress in the new drama.

Besides the reliable leads, the production team is also raising expectations as screenwriter Kim Eun Hee is known for her projects including Signal (2016), Kingdom (2019), and Jirisan (2019), while director Lee Jung Rim is also highly praised for her work on V.I.P (2019).
