Linda Chung Suffers from Incontinence After Childbirth

Connecting with fans on social media, Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) uploaded a personal video and gave fans a look inside her purse. While her purse contains many ordinary items such as her makeup bag, wallet, and her work card, Linda made a surprising confession that she also carries around incontinence pads.

The contents inside Linda’s purse provides insights into the 36-year-old star’s quirky habits and lifestyle. At first glance, Linda’s purse looks small and impractical, but it is able to store more than 20 items. While filming in Hong Kong and missing her family dearly, Linda likes to carry items that remind her of them. She has stickers to pacify her children and a family photo inside a wallet which she has used for ten years. Linda also carries vitamins, colloidal silver, a bottle of water, and broccoli seed oil for her own wellness needs.

Another must-have item in her purse are a pair of earplugs, which Linda uses to help filter out noise. “Since I am introverted, I would get dizzy or have trouble breathing whenever too many people try to talk to me. I don’t want to be rude, but sometimes I want to be in a quiet place.”

Continuing to dig through her purse, Linda pulled out incontinence pads. “These are my feminine products. Because my children were naturally delivered, I sometimes have a little leak when I am too excited or when I jump too high. I would need a little protection.” Despite Linda’s candid confession, she is not bothered by her body’s post-pregnancy changes and openly shares her joy of being a parent.

    1. @m0m0 Fortunately, I don’t have that problem and I had 4 babies vaginally. Weights were from 7-8.5 lbs, so average and in my favor. Had a couple of tears, but nothing with significant consequences. Now the stretch marks and those last 5 lbs I like to lose…

I do appreciate her candor because it is a common problem. Women’s health needs to be spoken more of. But I have to raise my eyebrows at her supplements. Those are unnecessary.

      1. @m0m0 @potatochip I concur. It’s really brave of Linda to reveal this about herself, when she didn’t have to. I personally had some incontinence issues postpartum, too. It eventually resolved itself, but I was pretty depressed and anxious for a while. But this issue should be addressed in the media, which is why I appreciate celebrities like Linda and Ella Chen for being honest and forthcoming about this.
