Mario Ho and Ming Xi Star in New Reality Show Together

Mario Ho (何猷君), the fourth son of the late casino magnate Stanley Ho (何鴻燊), got married with Chinese supermodel Ming Xi (奚夢瑤) and became parents in 2019, with their son Ronaldo becoming the first male grandson of the family line. The high-profile couple will be starring in Tencent’s new  Chinese reality show, Happiness Trio <幸福三重奏>.

The duo will be one of three celebrity couples featured in the new show, which will also include: Wu Jing (吳京) and his wife Xie Nan (謝楠), as well as Yu Qian (于謙) and his wife Bai Weiming (白慧明).

Chinese netizens spotted Mario and Ming Xi filming in a village in Wenzhou earlier, where they strolled the local markets while wearing muddied water shoes. Holding hands tightly, husband Mario carried plastic bags containing food produce while they casually checked out various items laid out, squatting down to take a closer look and chatting with stall owners whenever they see something interesting.

Cooperating with the show’s publicity efforts, Ming Xi and Mario updated their Weibo profile pictures with wacky couple shots. Ming Xi has been sharing snippets of her life with Mario via the topic “daily moments with a Capricorn.’’ Although Ming Xi seemed overwhelmed by Mario’s work-centered personality, netizens interpreted the couple’s actions as open displays of affection.

Extravagant Proposal

Getting much attention since their dating stages, Mario had won the supermodel over with an extravagant, pink castle-themed marriage proposal, where he had the scene decorated with nearly 99,000 roses and presented her with a 10-carat diamond ring.  Quick to enter the next chapter of their lives, the couple registered their marriage within two months of the proposal, while evoking widespread talk that theirs was a gunshot wedding, although no one in the Ho family clarified the rumors.

In October 2019, Mario announced their newborn’s arrival, with tycoon Stanley Ho gifting his eldest grandson the Chinese character ‘Shen’ (燊) meaning vigorous, exuberant and named him He Guang Shen (何廣燊).
