Park Bo Gum Shares MBTI Personality Type
South Korean actor Park Bo Gum is nicknamed the “Nation’s Little Brother” due to his handsome looks, positive nature, and acting skills. As ELLE Taiwan’s August cover star, Park Bo Gum shared that if he did not become an actor he likely would have become a flight attendant. The actor said excitedly, “Then I can travel to different countries and use many different languages. I could do that job happily!”
It has been a long time since Park Bo Gum’s last visit to Taiwan. On the day that he arrived, there were continuous earthquakes and aftershocks could be felt throughout the night. Park Bo Gum did not sleep well, but was more concerned on the wellbeing of the ELLE team when he met with them the next morning. He was also worried about the safety of his fans and whether they could still complete the magazine shooting. During this time, he also recognized an editor whom he had met in South Korea over six years ago. Everyone on set was touched by Park Bo Gum’s attentiveness and sincerity.
Park Bo Gum’s kind gestures and warm-hearted nature bring a lot of positivity to people’s lives. Asked how he handles obstacles, he smiled and shared, “When I encounter these types of situations, I’ll constantly think ‘Oh My God’ in my head. I’ll usually go find some delicious food to change my mood while looking for a solution.”
Park Bo Gum said he never felt pressure as a public figure, “Positivity is something I was born with. I’ve always wanted to do things to the best of my ability. I’ll always be a perfectionist.”
While filming Record of Youth, Park Bo Gum did a MBTI test and discovered he was an ESFJ. This type of personality is passionate, friendly, and responsible. They are also pleased when others around them are happy and at ease. Rather than describing his personality, he would like for the descriptors, ‘Brilliant’, ‘Genial’, and ‘Mature’, to be the first three to pop into people’s minds when thinking of him. “Although I’m not too focused on MBTI, it seems to be helpful in guiding people’s relationships and working towards collaboration so I think it’s a really good test.”
