Sammi Cheng and Andy Plan Wedding in August; Aaron Kwok and Lynn Hung to Get Married in June

Entering the Year of the Dragon, the entertainment industry was full of good news. Two golden couples, Andy Hui (許志安) and Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文), as well as Aaron Kwok (郭富城) and Lynn Hung (熊黛林) will be getting married this year! Sammi and Andy chose to get married near their birthdates in August, while Aaron and Lynn opt for a small wedding in June 2012!

Over the last 20 years, 44-year-old Andy Hui and 39-year-old Sammi Cheng have broken up and reconciled several times; their reconciliation in 2011 was hailed as “the reunification of the century”! The pair have remained good friends throughout the years. Under Sammi’s influence, Andy became a Christian and their conversational topics broadened, while their  hobbies became increasingly similar.  The couple preferred to go jogging to reduce stress.

In the past, Andy did not possess a blogging habit. Perhaps influenced by Sammi’s passion for writing, Andy started blogging this year to share his inner thoughts with fans. From both Sammi and Andy’s recent blog entries, they appeared to hint that they had marriage in mind. Sammi wrote, “Life is beautiful…make my life complete!” Upon discussing his mentor, Anita Mui (梅艷芳), Andy wrote, “There are too many separations and deaths [in life]. You cannot say that you are unwilling and cannot let go. The only thing to do is to treasure the people before you!” Of course the person before Andy to treasure was Sammi!

Sammi and Andy reportedly started planning for their future together. Although numerous wedding rumors cropped up last year, it turned out that the couple had decided to get married in August 2012. The news has been acknowledged by Andy’s family and friends. Both Sammi and Andy’s parents were extremely happy about the impending wedding, with one family member even revealing the news to a colleague at work. It was understood that Sammi and Andy intended to obtain their marriage registration overseas, after which they will hold a low-profile dinner inviting their close friends and family.  However, this wedding plan was not supported by their family members, who wished to be more involved in celebrating with the couple [via a larger wedding banquet].

Aaron Kwok Ready to Get Married and Have 2 Kids

Dating for 5 years, Aaron Kwok and Lynn Hung’s relationship became increasingly public. Forty-six-year-0ld Aaron planned to get married with Lynn in the Year of the Dragon and have two children within the next 4 years.

After completing his Hong Kong Coliseum concert, Aaron requested a 2-week long vacation in June with his manager, Xiao Mei (小美).  However, Aaron purchased his plane tickets and hotel reservations privately and did not ask for help from anyone else. Such behavior aroused curiosity and under Xiao Mei’s repeated questioning, Aaron only revealed that he will not be in Hong Kong during those two weeks, refusing to disclose his travel location.

It was understood that Aaron and Lynn intended to obtain their marriage registration overseas, similar to their married friends Chingmy Yau (邱淑貞) and Shum Ka Wai (沈嘉偉) getting married in Japan and Chilam Cheung (張智霖) and Anita Yuen (袁詠儀) in Australia. Thus far, only four or five friends knew about Aaron’s wedding plans; he intended to invite his closest friends to the small wedding.

To prepare having children with Aaron, Lynn allegedly went to the hospital for a gynecological exam earlier. Aaron hoped to have 2 kids before turning 50 years old, which was not a difficulty for the 32-year-old Lynn. In order to chase a dragon baby, Lynn also sought the help of a traditional Chinese herbalist to restore balance to the body, a popular practice among Hong Kong celebrities.

Asked about his wedding plans a few days ago, Aaron issued his usual denial. Upon the mention of a baby, he smiled widely, indicating the he loved children very much!

Jayne: The wedding news of Sammi and Andy is more likely than Aaron and Lynn’s wedding rumors. Perhaps Aaron may indeed have a lightning wedding this year. Anyhow, happy for the couples!

    1. Don’t you think that as a celebrity fortune teller, she might have news of impending situations from others in the industry? And also, this have been rumoured for like forever, so I dont think how that proves they are right. Like one year, she predicted Nicholas and Cecilia will have new addition to the family, well Cecilia was pregnant for goodness sake.

      1. I agree and I feel that many fortune tellers are scam artists. There are a few that are good, but not many… If things come true, then it must be a coincidence. There are times that they are right, but only somewhat…. I also feel that ones that ask for the most money seem to be the most bogus ones while ones that don’t really ask for any money or little money are the more true ones…

  1. Hehe let’s be our own fortune tellers and guess which other celebrity couples will get married this year?

I hope to report on the following headlines in the Year of the Dragon:

    1. Ekin Cheng & Yoyo Mung
Maybe Ekin will feel marriage itch in Year of the Dragon, which seems to be a popular year to do anything major in life, such as get married or have kids

    2. Nicholas Tse & Cecilia Cheung
Powerful stars align and make Nicholas and Cecilia find a way to make their union work again.

    3. Angelababy & Huang Xiao Ming
A marriage of physical perfection; enough said.

    4. Charmaine Sheh & Kevin Cheng
Year of the Dragon becomes “year of great reconciliations” as Kevin and Charmaine, while filming in China, find love again. In their 2nd time, they decide not to waste any more time and pull a quick wedding!

    5. Ron Ng & Viann Zhang
Viann yearns to spend more time with Ron and proposes to him. Ron accepts but asks for forgiveness from his fans. On his wedding day, angry fans stampede Ron’s wedding, hoping the groom will run from the altar, “Are you sure you want to marry her and spend the rest of your life with her?” Angry fans bring cardboard cut-outs of a nude Viann in protest.

Okay I think I got carried away in the last headline, hehe but couldn’t resist to add a little drama to the whole wedding-scape.

    1. ekin will not marry yoyo mung, she is not hot enough for him!!!

angelababy with xiao ming will be like ken and barbie.

    2. Good ones Jayne and your list sort of reminds of me Mak Ling Ling’s list at this link:

      http://asianfanatics.net/forum/topic/765843-the-fortune-forecast-of-celebrity-couples-for-the-year-of-the-dragon/

I personally don’t know how true any of this stuff that Mak Ling Ling or any fortune teller says is true or not. I have been scammed before so I am less likely to believe a lot of things that fortune tellers say. There are times that a number of things that they say are true, but I wonder if it is a coincidence or not??

  2. hope it is true that the two couples will be getting marry this year >.<

  3. Didn’t Chilam and Anita get married in the United States, not Australia?

    1. Yes,I thought so,they were doing so called ‘married’ in a flight to US for Chilam’s concert in the year 2001.

  4. Why would most celebrities obtain their marriage registration overseas? Is it faster?

      1. it’s a trend – marry in Hongkong is not good enough! too local.

  5. It is super super touching to know that Sammy and Andy is together.. finally! Many of us actually grown up with the couple, and their song together is a classic. Just so so happy for them!

    1. Andy and Sammi are the prime example that couples who broke up many times due to personality differences can still reconcile once they learn to compromise and respect each other’s opinions. It’s all about tolerance.

  6. I hope that Aaron and Lynn finally get married… It is about time that Aaron gets married since he is getting really up there in terms of age. I have a feeling that it may be true because I don’t think Lynn would want to waste her youth away and wait and wait if Aaron had no intentions of marrying her at all…Hope that he will share his news with everyone when the time comes!

Congrats to Sammi and Andy and it is also about time that they get married. They broke up and made up many times and am glad that they are finally going to tie the knot. Best wishes to them!

  7. Funny how fortune tellers can never predict the lotto numbers for themselves and make themselves millionaires over and over again. Agreed with HeTieShou, fortune tellers are all con artists who have the gift of the gabs, I have never come across a fortune tellers who is not articulate and most appear to be full of hot air.

    1. @Samantha,
Have you ever been to a fortune teller before?? I have only been to one recommended by my friend and he was ok. Some of the things he said about me were true but most of it sounded so BS… The good thing was he asked for little money which was why I went…I also wanted to see if he was good or not since my friend went to him a couple of times. My cousin’s wife went to him as well and believed some of the things he said, but a lot of it was questionable…

  8. I thought that Andy was born in 1972. So he can’t be 44 years old?
