The Best Celebrity Looks at the 2020 Miss Hong Kong Pageant

While the Miss Hong Kong contestants took center stage on Sunday night, celebrity guests and judges glammed up at the carpet backstage. From the unrecognizable Hera Chan to androgynous Sisley Choi, here are 12 of the night’s most interesting looks.

Louisa Mak (麥明詩)

The 2015 Miss Hong Kong winner may be retiring from the industry, but she still oozes the grace and sophistication of a beauty queen.

Eliza Sam (岑麗香)

It’s hard to believe that the 2010 Miss Chinese International winner only gave birth to her first son last year. She’s now back with TVB to film the family drama Plan “B” <BB大晒>.

The “What Does a Man Believe” <男人信什麼> singer is capturing all the attention with her unique outfit.

Moon Lau (劉佩玥)

The TVB actress is setting herself aside from her peers by choosing a more classic look: a ball gown with a sexy slit.

Crystal Fung (馮盈盈)

The 2016 Miss Hong Kong winner looks bold and confident with this mature black dress.

Nancy Wu (胡定欣)

The two-time TV Queen makes a statement with her asymmetrical jump suit.

Hera Chan (陳曉華)

The 2018 Miss Hong Kong winner looks absolutely unrecognizable in her tall ponytail!

Regina Ho (何依婷)

The 2017 second runner-up looks stunning in her faded pink gown.

Shiga Lin (連詩雅)

The singer makes her grand entrance in this off-sleeve top and gown.

Sisley Choi (蔡思貝)

The Legal Mavericks <踩過界> actress is sticking with her androgynous look.

Joey Thye (戴祖儀)

Joey maintains her youthfulness with this cute lavender gown.

It appears that fainted and pastel colors were the theme of the night.

  1. Glad to see Louisa Mak is retiring from industry as she is neither a beauty queen, nor a competent actress……….On the other hand, if only Crystal Fung would do the same and retire now……….She can’t act, nor is she attractive, and her presence on screen continues to be annoying……….Haha.

  2. Nancy looked like she did not want to be there lol. Same with pakho.

I think Shiga looked the best out of everyone listed here.

  3. Top 3: Sisley, Shiga, and Louisa (yes).
Sisley–androgynous is a stretch but it is edgy and modern
Shiga–she’s often best dressed TVB events
Louisa– classic, understated, but not boring
Worst: Nancy or Moon (different styles but same reason why both failed)

Eliza, I would have picked, but something about that encrusted material is off putting and should have been gold if that’s the case. She usually dresses at the same caliber as Shiga.

    1. @jesspepperwang Agree. But for sweet looks I like Regina Ho (何依婷) & Hana. They are safe but at least they look sweet/cute. Nancy-She always look awful on most events thou imo. haha lol..I do like SisleyChoi’s as well, looks super fitting for her in that hairstyle.

  4. I love the color on Moon’s dress. She needs to learn how to pose though…

Most other looks were too skin toned or pale. Make up also pale. Some color would have been nice.

  5. Love Moon’s dress. Hana looks the best imo – pure and elegant.
JW’s outfit looks weird af but it’s not too bad. Love Sisley’s look too – it’s very stylish.

  6. Nancy & Louisa look like they are modern day version of the ambassadors of hell. Nancy’s face is not aging well. The majority of these people should fire their stylist (if they have one), especially that Hera Chan … she looks completely ridiculous from hair to the feathers. A human ostrich.
