Working with Dayo Wong Makes Kate Tsui Sleepless
At a promotional function for the Hunter Pop Up Store yesterday, Kate Tsui (徐子珊) spoke about her anxiety in shooting with Dayo Wong (黃子華) in a new TVB drama, expressing that the collaboration has been giving her many sleepless nights.
Kate will be starring opposite Dayo in an upcoming TVB comedy, which is slated to begin shooting next month. Kate beat out hundreds of other TVB actresses who were fighting for the opportunity to act alongside the comedy super star.
“I rarely film comedies so I really don’t know what to do. I’m really nervous, and I have a hard time sleeping. I did watch a lot of local British comedies when I was on my vacation in England. I also studied a lot of [Dayo’s] comedies and did my homework. I’m currently watching Dayo and Carol Cheng’s (鄭裕玲) War of the Genders<男親女愛>, and I have already finished You’re Hired <絕代商驕>. It’s a lot of pressure. Working with [Dayo] is no joke.”
Dayo revealed at an earlier interview that he wanted to kiss Kate. “That’s embarrassing!” Kate said with a laugh. “Did he really say that? But we are professional actors so it’s fine!”
The currently untitled new drama will be produced by Man Wai Hung (文偉鴻), a longtime collaborator with Dayo. Sharon Chan (陳敏之), Louis Yuen (阮兆祥), Elena Kong (江美儀), Benz Hui (許紹雄), and Jazz Lam(林子善) will also star.

But Kate should relax, not to put too much presure on herself. it’s the best to have a happy mood to film a comedy. Just go with the flow and everything will be fine

Please please please hope the cast will do alright especially Kate. I have been waiting for a Dayo comedy drama for quite a while and I really hope it won’t disappoint.
And maybe I’m tired too as my eyes played some tricks on me. I read the title as ‘Sleeping with Dayo Wong makes…….’. My heart almost.. wtf, lol.

Dayo Wong is a great actor / comedian! I don’t remember the name of the series, but Dayo Wong was the lead male actor in this comedy detective tvb series.. It was great!

Something is seriously wrong with Kate. I feel every news article talks about we feelin under pressure, anxiety, depressed, insomnia. Not just this time but many times. last time was with HAL as well. The series haven’t already started filming yet. She can’t sleep for the next 3 months of filming. And secondy its only Dayo Wong not even some big superstar. the impression i get is either she over exaggerated these emotions to get some sympathetic headline or that she’s weak and inexperienced. She’s not a noob, been in the industry for many years, filmed movies, can’t she handle a small 20eps tv series??? I hate how she portrays herself as a weakling, don’t be in this industry then. She’s inexperienced and weak. Pity.
well I think she just really worries about this series since HAL could be considered as a memorable role, then everyone will have a high expectation from her in this new serie. And the fact that she wasn’t in that much of comedy, then it’s normal for her to be like this.
And I don’t think she is weak, the way she talked about how she prepared for this role make me think that she is a hard-working actress who takes her work seriously
