Zhou Xun Goes Public with New Chinese-American Boyfriend, Archie Kao

Mainland Chinese actress Zhou Xun (周迅) recently announced that she is dating Chinese-American actor Archie Kao (高聖遠), who is best known for his role in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

In the early morning of April 8, the official Sina Weibo of Zhou Xun’s production studio published a photograph of the actress with her boyfriend. In the picture, Zhou Xun and Archie are standing by a lake and smiling sweetly. Printed on the photo are the words, “This is Archie. I hope everyone will take care of him.”

Born in 1969, Archie is five years older than Zhou Xun. He was born in Washington, D.C., grew up in Virginia, and received a Speech Communication degree from George Mason University. Having acted for almost twenty years, Archie is best known as audiovisual technician Archie Johnson in the hit television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Fans may also recognize him as the Blue Ranger in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy and Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue.

Archie was named one of People Magazine’s Hottest Bachelors in 2006. Five years later, he appeared alongside Li Bingbing (李冰冰) and Gianna Jun (全智賢) in Snow Flower and the Secret Fan<雪花秘扇>, thus bringing him to the attention of mainland Chinese audiences. He is currently a series regular on Chicago P.D., in which he plays a surveillance detective named Sheldon Jin, and is reportedly interested in doing directing and producing work.

Zhou Xun and Archie have known each for a long time, revealed an inside source. According to the source, the two have already begun discussing marriage plans.

Last year, it was rumored that Zhou Xun was caught up in a messy love triangle with Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) and Tony Leung (梁朝偉). Additionally, earlier this year, Zhou Xun was spotted on outings with another man, who was thought to be her boyfriend but turned out to be her new manager.
