Myolie Wu and Wayne Lai Face Challenges Filming “Rosy Business 3”

The Rosy Business (巾幗梟雄) franchise has led Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) to stardom – successfully helping him earn the title of TV King twice in a row. In the third installment, No Reserve <巾幗梟雄之諜血長天>, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) replaces Sheren Tang (鄧萃雯) as female lead. Wayne and Myolie’s acting skills will be put to the test, as their characters undergo extreme circumstances during one of the Second Sino-Japanese War.

Myolie’s character initially takes on the role of an innocent university graduate. However, she receives a special undercover mission and eventually sacrifices her own body in order to gain the trust of government officials.

Wayne, on the other hand, plays two characters – the kind and patriotic twinKong Sheung Hung, and his long-lost antagonistic brotherSuzuki KazuoThis ultimately gives Wayne a fresh challenge and poses as a test for his acting abilities as he has to toggle between the two antithetic twins.

No Reserve is a period drama set in 1937 that focuses on the disastrous conditions of the Second Sino-Japanese War. The story follows the lives of those who were affected by the ruthless battle between the Chinese government and the Japanese empire. Friendship and loyalty will be tested and while shouldering a mission that could cost the country’s victory, Myolie must choose between love and her obligations as a spy.

Myolie and Wayne claimed that their role in No Reserve is one of their biggest challenges  – both having to play characters with 180-degree changes in their personalities. Wayne commented, “I’ve doubled as a twin before, but it was for shorter scenes. This time, I have to play both brothers for 20 episodes! It’s stressful on the mind, but I’ll give it my best shot.”

However, with the power of both TV King and Queen, viewers can anticipate an action-filled period drama with intense dramatic scenes ahead.

  1. alot of people are saying this will put it to the test if myoile is a worthy tv queen not only it will put it to the test and see if wayne is a worthy 3 time tv king

    1. Seriously, ppl just gotta take it easy.
Not all movies are meant to be a success. Putting in so much pressure for the actors, just takes out all the fun out of the movies for everybody. It’s meant to be entertainment, just be entertained!
Also, whether it’s a success or a flop, each and every actor deserves an applaud for their efforts!

      1. i agree an actor deserves an applaud for their effort..

    2. Anyone who thinks that does not understand what awards are. It is not a test for Myolie or Wayne. If they succeed then good for them. If they fail, no big deal. That would be like saying Tony Leung and Chow Yun Fat have to prove themselves in every movie they are in. They’ve had their flops and so have Myolie and Wayne.

  2. Agree with Ric..
Not everyone can be successful all the time, people have their highs and lows…
    Good luck to them !

  3. hope computer effects will be good enough that it won’t ruin Wayne’s “twin scenes.”

    1. Don’t expect it. TVB CGI’s has been degraded a lot in the recent series. They might as use action stick figures, 3 year old finger-painting the dramatic scene and spit balls as the effects.

  4. I think is a challenge for them because is a new character for them. No matter what they will do very well in their character. Because they are the best and TVB TV QUEEN AND KING.

    1. Are you so sure that they are the best and TVB TV QUEEN AND KING? I have doubts.

  5. isn’t myolie wu’s character trajectory similar to Lust Caution……..
