“Overachievers” Ending Spoilers
Along with Line Walker <使徒行者> and Black Heart White Soul <忠奸人>, Overachievers <名門暗戰> is acknowledged as the strongest contender for Best Drama at the 48th TVB Anniversary Awards. Although the finale of Overachievers will not air until December 12, ending spoilers have already been leaked, drumming up further buzz for the upcoming awards.
Overachievers feature a critically-acclaimed cast consisting of Wayne Lai (黎耀祥), Raymond Wong (黃浩然), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), Power Chan (陳國邦), and Raymond Cho. Producer Marco Law (羅永賢) especially custom-tailored the difficult role for Power Chan, to showcase his acting range and give him a shot at the Best Supporting Actor award.
As the drama will conclude over the next two weeks, the plot has entered its climax and the main characters will meet their surprising ends.
Mike Chiang (Wayne Lai) has been unable to forget Ko Fa Lai (Maggie Shiu 邵美琪) since their separation. Sorting out their relationship problems, the couple decides to give marriage another shot. However, their happiness is short-lived as Fa Lai later dies from a car accident.
After Lee Chau Ping (Susanna Kwan 關菊英) discovers that Chiang Sing (Raymond Cho) was responsible for exposing her son Chiang Tsun (Jason Chan 陳智燊) as being a homosexual, she exacts revenge by secretly ordering Chiang Sing to be crippled.
When Ting Man Chi (Nancy Wu) discovers that Hugo Chung (Raymond Wong) was the culprit behind her father’s murder, she accepts Lee Chau Kan’s (Power Chan) love.
Hugo marries Chiang Lai (Grace Chan 陳凱琳) for opportunistic means. As the Chiang family is struck with tragedy on all fronts, who will be able to stop Hugo from his plot to take over the family enterprise?

oooo I’m happy that Ting Man(Nancy) and Chau Kan(Power Chan) ends up together in this series I’m like this series the suspense is a thriller so anxious to watch another eps everyday!!!

hugo may become crippled and goto jail. have a feeling that Susanna’s revenge may somehow ended up on him

Power chan did so well in his role. I wished there is a person like that in my life. If I were mandy, I would also choose power chan’s character. Although he is not handsome, he is kind, wise and spends his time helping others in need

Ya no one deserves better than Power Chan. He is so cute and good at the role. Enjoy all his performances. Funny yet not self depreciating like wong cho lam who picks fun at his own height.
The irony of it all, someone like power chan who we all know can act and have been in the industry for years has yet have a chance at any award for his acting skills…and someone like grace chan who’s only in one series is up for two awards, wth is wrong with tvb?!?

Politics – I would say 100% politics but..
when I first watched this series i thought it was going to be great..but its gotten so boring..hopefully the last leg of the upcoming episodes will be worth while

Well, I have not watched this series but I like Wayne Lai so I will watch it later.

Power and wayne did a good job in this drama two thumbs up!!
Boring drama with same old acting by Wayne. His acting since FH3 has been really stale. Same old same old. At least Roger has some variety.
Not sure what you were watching but this series marks the return of the Wayne I admire. Fantastic acting, Maggie Siu and the rest.The story is fine. My fave is Power who is simply amazing with the best character.

Yes, Overachievers is one of the best dramas TVB had in a long time. Excellent acting all round by the 5 men and 2 ladies. I just feel that Maggie is given the shorter end of the stick. Fantastic acting but her character is not fleshed out enough. Even Susanna’s character (who turns evil) has more depth.

Obviously I was watching OA but she said she wasn’t sure what I was watching, sarcastic no? Duh! As if her opinion is superior to mine. Never heard of to each his own? Probably by the end of the series 6 failed businesses and 1 ex wife, 1 dead wife and not much romance but plenty of new names to think about like Whatshop, Florasun, Whereshop, Micapp.. gotta admit the names are rather good. I am just surprised after being done in so many times by his “best father ever” father, he still has money.

Power Chan’s acting is superb. He delivers his line well, humourous without going overboard unlike Edwin. Sure hope he wins an award this year. His wife and daughter would be so proud of him.

I don’t actually like Wayne’s acting too much. I feel like it’s always the same character more or less. I think he needs to play a evil role soon. Everything is starting to feel very “chai gou”.

Am I the only one here who thinks this drama is boring? I’m on episode 17 right now and still find it boring…..Can someone tell me if it’s gonna get a lot better or something?
