Bosco Wong Purchases $1.3 Million Audi Car

TVB actors normally prefer driving luxury cars, not minding to spend the additional money to let others know their status. Possessing three real estate properties, Bosco Wong Chung Chak filmed in mainland recently and earned a large amount of money.  Yesterday, Bosco was spotted at an Audi dealership, spending $1.3 million (HKD) to purchase a red Audi RS5 sports car!

Due the the expanding potential of the mainland market, many TVB artists headed north to film in China. Successfully “digging gold,” it was possible to earn several million dollars per series. Many male artists like to buy new cars to reward themselves. With many artists changing cars, everyone upgraded to more luxurious models, revealing their financial worth. Upgrading from his old car, a $400,000 (HKD) Audi A4 to a $1.3 million (HKD)  RS5, Bosco showcased his full pockets.

Bosco ordered the new Audi RS5 model last year, which finally shipped to Hong Kong recently. Bosco arrived at the Audi dealership with a male friend at 12 noon. Upon seeing his “new love,” which had a license plate ready to be driven home, Bosco’s eyes shone with excitement. Although the car salesperson explained the car’s various functions, Bosco’s eyes were focused on the car. He circled the car in excitement, similar to a child with a new toy.

A devout fan of Audi cars, Bosco fell in love with the RS5 model last year. Although aware of the million dollar price tag and the fact that it would take one year for the model to ship to Hong Kong, Bosco decided to order the model. After completing the purchase contract forms, Bosco and his friend drove the car away towards Sai Kung, testing out the abilities of the new car.

Bosco Wong’s Net Worth Valued at Over $10 Million (HKD)

TVB was known to offer low compensation to its artists. However, Bosco possessed a good long-term vision and invested in different assets.  Filming in China recently, Bosco moved from his old home in Sha Tin to a 1,000 square foot apartment with a monthly rent of $30,000 (HKD).  In the past, he revealed that he invested in stable funds and red wine to ensure return. Most of his financial assets are managed by Bosco’s mother.  Although his three properties are still being mortgaged, their market value recently increased. Based on a conservative estimate, Bosco’s net worth was valued over $10 million (HKD)!

Myolie Wu Brought Good Luck to Bosco Wong

With his rising popularity, Bosco’s income increasingly rose. Of course, Bosco’s girlfriend, Myolie Wu Hang Yee, was the happiest person observing this trend. Dating for six years, Bosco has become one of the leading men [at TVB]. Many people at TVB often teased them, noting that Myolie gave “good fortune to her husband” (旺夫) and that Bosco was destined to marry her. Many colleagues joked that they were saving money towards the wedding gift.

Myolie’s Response Towards Bosco’s New Car Purchase

Reporters asked Myolie whether Bosco had consulted her opinion in his $1.3 million (HKD) car purchase? Myolie said, “I don’t know when he switched cars.” When reporters pointed out that she would be the first female passenger to ride in Bosco’s new car, Myolie said sweetly, “I don’t know.” (Bosco spent $1 million (HKD) on a new toy?) “That’s none of my business.” (Does Bosco earn a lot of money?) “Congratulations to him!” Myolie supported Bosco by indicating that she wanted to purchase a new car as well.

TVB Artists Drive Luxury Cars

Many artists at TVB drive expensive cars:

Charmaine Sheh drives a Mercedes-Benz E350 Coupe valued at $768,000 (HKD)

Tavia Yeung drives a Volkswagon Eos valued at $428,000 (HKD)

Moses Chan drives a Toyota Pardo valued at $660,000 (HKD)

Raymond Lam drives a Maserati Gran Turismo valued at $1.888 million (HKD)

Jayne: TVB artists of this generation definitely have more money-making opportunities than artists in the 80s and early 90s. They all drive nice cars!

  1. Some artistes get famous, then they become rich. Some get rich and therefore become famous. I suspect Bosco’s going to belong to the latter.

    1. I read below lots of netizens commenting about how Bosco and other entertainers should not be spending this lavishly during this time of the Japan earthquake and all that “sheet”. What?!!?!??! These people earned the money themselves and deserve to spend it in any which way they so desire. For all we care, they can burn their cash if they want but why the hell does this have to be linked to the situation in Japan? Japan’s situation is their own problem and when there are other disasters around the world, do you think the rich Japanese are going to think about not spending their money? Come on, lots of people out their are sympathizing with the Japanese tsunami and stuff because its the politically correct thing to do. On the other hand, let’s respect that there are others who believe Japan is experiencing what they are now because of Karma. What they did during the WWII may have have been yester-year’s history but we all know that karma happens in mysterious ways and that what our ancestors did to others, it will come back to haunt them with their descendants. Read some history guys. What Japan is experiencing now is just similar to the pain that they inflicted on others during the wars. The only difference is that it is their descendants who are feeling the pain while the ancestors are already lying in their graves.

      1. People sympathise because they have compassion. People feel sad when they see the suffering of fellow human beings.

Of course, others are entitled to hold decades old grudge and gleefully go ‘Serve you right. It’s karma, pay back time!’. But, don’t disregard the true compassion of those to sympathise with Japan and put it all to political correctness.

According to your logic. All those earthquake happen in China is also karma. Then, why the China people hate on Sharon Stone. What she said is true what.

      2. If it’s Karma, it’s karma to human for destroying the earth, not any particular countries.

      3. Karma only works in mysterious ways because people pick and choose what to attribute as karma. I know a lot of good people that died, I’m sure it must be karma since its such a mysterious force. No. Its called chance, randomness and probability. None of which knows good or evil.

      4. Karma is karma, but to say whatever happened in a natural disaster is due to karma is to me kinda mean spirited. I would not wish that sort of karma on my enemies, except if the town is full of paedophiles and Osama. Other than that no one deserves such a fate, If it happens to your own country, what then does it mean? Someone in there did something unforgivable? Why should the future generations pay for the sins of their forefathers?

Karma can also come back to those who wish ill upon others.

Let’s not go there. Whatever happened with natural disasters, it is tragic. So many people died, so many families ripped apart.

Even if we can’t sympathise as fellow human beings we can empathise.

However I must say when 911 happened I have some joker telling to my face how she felt what happened there was karma for what the americans did to the world. Maybe the joker didn’t realise probably a whole lot of non americans died in there too.

  2. For someone who used to live in HK public housing and is a middle class family he and his mum look like they’re having a culture shock with all the money that they’re having and start buying so many houses and changing to luxury cars.

I don’t see what’s so good about having a 1.3 million car. There are some good cars much cheaper than that.

      1. I’m not crazy about cars so I don’t know. I think purchasing a 1.3 million car is a waste of money. The car is only a 2 seater too with small space for stuff.

      2. @LOL

Not everyone likes to live the frugal way. I personally buy things for the sake of loving it and not so much for the good use behind it

    1. When in the public eye, most people like to show off te kind of money they have. And especially since he used to live in public housing, he probably wants to tell people how good he’s doing. Maybe people should be like Linda Chung she doesn’t even have a car. Lol

      1. I disagree. I don’t think he bought car to show off or to flaunt. The article said he’s a devoted fan of Audi. So, I think he bought it just because he love it and can afford it.

His case is the same as other devoted hobbyist. Comic mag collector will fork out a lot of money to buy limited edition mags. Photography enthusiast will fork out a lot of money to buy expensive cameras.

      2. Kidd is right, he is a devout fan of Audi and openly showing his love in his weibo.

Besides him, William Chan(the EEG singer/Taxi man) is also an Audi fan and William has mentioned that he sometimes talk about cars with Bosco.

      3. What, Linda Chung doesn’t have a car?? Can she drive?? Maybe it is better to use public transportation a place like HK? IN the US, it is better have your own car but it also depends on where you live. However, I think in places with high population densities like HK, maybe you are better off without one??

      4. @Yee; I remember linda saying she doesn’t like to drive though, because of how she is not good at driving and might easily get into accidents. Not because she can’t afford one or anything.

      5. Anyway it’s a bad timing to “receive” the car at this moment because he will be receiving never ending criticism for buying a car(although he “bought” the car last year) at this unfortunate grieving moment. Best of luck to him to handle the criticism.

Just look at how Barbie Hsu is criticized for holding a lavish wedding at this time.

      6. Then again HK press has always love to pry on the more negative side of a star’s life and less on the positive. Sigh. Some journalism ethics.

      7. @Masaharu,

I totally agree with you. Right now the situation in Japan is really bad and the world has been in a recession for a long time now, but here we have people spending so much on things that they just want. But then again, it is their money and they worked for it so what right does anyone have to critique them??

Barbie was critiqued for having a lavish wedding during this time?? I can understand that, but at least she was said to have donated her cash wedding gifts to the Japanese Tsunami. I wonder if she really did or not though. I think Barbie was kind of being a hypocrite since she said that she wanted a simple wedding for family and close friends only, but at the same time said that she was stressed. She was contradicting herself because if her wedding was so simple then why would she be stressed?? I think she should have shown more consideration for the Tsunami victims and others that are struggling during such a hard time.

      8. HeTieShou:

In Bosco’s case, he actually have booked the car last year which is a long way before the tsunami. Nobody can predict the future, right? But yeah since he only receive it NOW it will appear that he’s spending money during a difficult time for the Japanese (Although rationally speaking their money is their rights, and we don’t know if they’re already donated behind out back). HK press and media attitude is another thing, more focus is given to gossips ans scandals by HK media while TW and KR media of all types are gearing up for relief programs.

Barbie did mention about the donations but Chinese press are more keen to publish the negative side of reviews, which is about how luxurious her wedding is. Personally I think it’s her business and her money, besides it’s her “wedding” for god’s sake.

      9. @Masaharu,
Oh yea, thanks for reminding about him booking the car in advance. But even if he did buy it now, it is his own money and he did not steal or take it from anyone.
ABout Barbie, yea it is her wedding but I just hated how she claimed that she wanted a simple wedding but it turned out the opposite of it. If she wanted a glamourous wedding, then just say so. Why say that you want it simple and then have the opposite of it? She is marrying a millionaire so many would not expect things to be so simple. Basically, I hate it when people “Kou shi xin fei”(say one thing but think another). It is true that it is her wedding, but lets see if it will be the only wedding that she will have in her life??

      10. HeTieShou:

Haha. Other than that I’ve read that some media are disappointed that Barbie make it a closed but lavish party. Whether it will be Barbie’s only wedding or not we can’t tell. I can only wish her happiness.

I’m neutral for Barbie but I do think she has a unique cuteness that translates well on the big screen. Will her wedding halted her film work? I’m not sure..

      11. @Masaharu,
Well, I actually don’t blame Barbie for having a closed party since she, her husband, their families and all of the guests deserve some privacy on her special day. Yea, who knows if it is her only wedding or not. Everyone can only wish her well. BUt I still have a bad feeling about it all since she married someone that she still hardly even knows. It’s not like she was in an arranged marriage or anything. But only time will tell…

I think if she really likes acting and singing, then she will still do it. However, if she was only doing it all for money then she may quit/retire because she has married a millionaire(this is assuming the marriage will last for a lifetime) so she no longer has to worry about money anymore.

      12. @ Masaharu

I don’t like how the press and the netizens are criticising the stars. Why couldn’t Barbie have a lavish wedding? Just because Japan has a disaster, everyone has to stop living their live?

I find it very hypocritical of them. I bet most of those who criticise just donate a few hundreds to disaster relief and then continue living their life as usual. I don’t think they will stop going to the restaurant to eat or buying new vehicle and reduce their wedding expenditure.

The stars might have donate a large among of money without telling anyone.

      13. @ HTS

“Bout Barbie, yea it is her wedding but I just hated how she claimed that she wanted a simple wedding but it turned out the opposite of it. If she wanted a glamourous wedding, then just say so. Why say that you want it simple and then have the opposite of it? She is marrying a millionaire so many would not expect things to be so simple. Basically, I hate it when people “Kou shi xin fei”(say one thing but think another). It is true that it is her wedding, but lets see if it will be the only wedding that she will have in her life??”

She could have wanted a simple wedding, but her husband and mother in-law want a lavish one? Or maybe her mother want? Marriage is not a 2 person affair.

And people can change their mind.

Lastly, why damn her marriage when it just began? (Now, please don’t go, ‘I NEVER said so! Don’t put words in my mouth!’. I’m not putting words in your mouth. I just write what I felt and get from reading your comment).
Every couple who married hope their marriage will last. They don’t get married with the mind to get divorce later (unless they are fake marriage or people marriage just to get PR to another country). The least we can do is wish them luck instead of going ‘Let’s see how long they will last’.

Should a couple not spend money to create their dream wedding just because there’s a possibility that they might divorce? It’s supposed to be the happiest day of the couple’s life.

      14. @ Masaharu

“Haha. Other than that I’ve read that some media are disappointed that Barbie make it a closed but lavish party. “

I read that it’s not because Barbie has a closed but lavish party. It’s because she forbade Taiwan press to take pictures. She only allowed 2 pictures or something. But, a news site/blog in China release a lot of exclusive pictures of the wedding. This got the Taiwan press very angry. I don’t know it’s here or asianfanatics. But, someone explain that the pictures in the China site were gotten without permission. The CEO of the site was a guest there and he took the pictures. He also planted people in the wedding.

      15. Kidd: The media is often unscrupulous but many netizens also always “jump on” something or “freak out” at any information from the media or rumor from the internet. I can only shake my head…

      16. Barbie’s wedding not even using her money. It’s her husbands’s he’s a wealthy guy

      17. I don’t begrudge the rich to spend so much. Because if you think that way, then Africa has always had problems so why are we spending on iphones and ipads and whatever we spent on?

It’s their money. They earned the money, they deserve to spend them as they like. How do we know that for every 1m spent on shopping they did not donate or support some charity?

And some cars do take a long time to be assembled and all.

Doesn’t mean I agree this car is worth the price though.

      18. And who wouldn’t want their wedding day to be lavish?

    2. You would live frugal when you don’t have money, but once you do… Your whole life changes, however, some people are just used to living frugal and want to be more humble rather than flaunting their wealth..Especially in such a bad economy when many are struggling to survive. Is it really wise or considerate for you to flaunt your wealth???

      1. If I am rich I too will want to live the life I want. Some may see that as flaunting when actually I am just living within my means, and not caring much what others think. Why must the rich be considerate to the poor? They earned their money, just don’t be excessive. Drive an expensive car but don’t go driving a pure gold car you know what I mean? Security reason also.

      2. I forgot to add; considerate is such a bastardized word. If the rich or the haves should be considerate to the poor or the have nots by hiding the wealth, why can’t the have nots be considerate to the haves by not showing their dissatisfaction? Unless a poor guy walks up and say to the rich guy “Your wealth is hurting my feelings”, why should this rich guy hide his ability to possess what the poor can’t?

      3. To be honest, the way i see these things is- unless a person in a superior position is going out of their way to be a bastard, then that person is no bastard for going about its way as any normal person; if that person actually goes the extra mile to be compassionate, altruistic etc etc. then that just means everyone else should accord them some level of ‘respect’.

In terms of this article- it didn’t say anything about the Japanese disaster and Bosco’s new car right?

    3. Sometimes it’s not culture shock, but when some people manage to overcome their previous “frugal” life and gets better income, they just don’t want to live the same kind of life again.

Bosco did mention many times that he wants to live in a bigger house with his mum and dog, maybe he got enough of living in housing estates with his mum when he was younger.

    4. @Kidd,
Gosh, once again you always have to misinterpret what I say… But I honestly don’t care.. Even if I did have good intentions, you would end up twisting them and saying that I have bad ones anyways… Geez! Anyways, it is Barbie’s life so let it be…. I do wish her well but I still have some not so positive feelings. But oh well, no one knows the future anyways. Good luck to her and she can do what she likes… Her wedding is now over so it no longer matters if it was lavish or not.

      1. I also want to add that I guess I don’t have completely positive feelings because she still hardly knows her “husband”. But oh well, I am not her so it is not for me to decide anyways…. By the way, please DO NOT respond to me anymore since I am tired of you accusing me of this and that!!

      2. @ HTS

No, I did not accuse you of anything. I’m just interpreting what you wrote, just like how you interpret what others wrote and make your conclusion.

“It is true that it is her wedding, but lets see if it will be the only wedding that she will have in her life??”

That’s not damning her marriage? That’s not going ‘Let’s see how long they will last’?

‘Damning’ might not be the most accurate word. What I mean is you already predicting the failure of her marriage when they just started.
I really don’t see how is that a good intention.

Anyway, I’ll respect your wishes. But, before I go, I’ll tell you this. There are many times I want to response to you, but, I did not. I only response when I really have to say something. The reason for this is precisely what is happening now. You will get all upset and say I accuse you and misinterpret you and put words in your mouth and then want to leave.

I do not want Jayne to lost an active commentator who participate in a lot of discussion and make the site active.

So, I’ll leave you alone. Carry on with your discussion and commenting.

      3. @HeTieShou

See I knew you were the greater fan of Barbies Hsu between the two of us? 🙂 just joking

  3. Sorry lar. 1.3m for that car, not worth it lar. Awful colour.

    1. Yeap I don’t see why he’s so happy with this purchase. The colour is bad. With 1.3 million I can easily found a great 7 seater that can fit my entire family and a truckload of stuff with a better colour preferably black or white for elegance instead of a small sportscar like this with that bright colour.

      1. Hes doesn’t need so many seats. Just one and that’s for Myolie.

    2. Of course its not worth it. Who in their right mind wants an Audi RS5? Just get a BMW M3! 🙂

  4. Tvb people all have cars they are so lucky even if they don’t make much money at tvb.

    1. Actors usually make their money from endorsements

    2. And how do you expect to get to locations? Take trains to TVB and take vans?

      1. Kenneth Ma and Linda take the trains. I heard trains in HK are good and one can survive in HK without having a car. In another country, maybe not 😛

      2. Linda often goes with Shirley to work. She can’t drive in HK so she doesn’t buy a car.

      3. Doesn’t TVB drive them to where they need to go. ONly in there free time they would need cars. So it’s not nessisary to have a car in HK, since there is like a subway stop every block. And with a pair of sunglasses, no one will know who you are anyway. Plus I think Linda Chung once said she walks to work, since she lives so close, other times it’s probably the company car.

  5. The first female passenger will most probably be his mom. Lol.

      1. His dog actually passed away a few months ago; not sure whether he got a new one.

Why do I even know this? I’m not even a Bosco fan, LOL.

      2. Yes his dog Sawa passed away but he has 2 dogs, not one.

      3. Sorry, my bad. I mean Kapun died but Sawa is still alive. He has 2 dogs: Kapun and Sawa

      4. His dog was a natural born actor. So sad. How did Kapun died again? Some virus?

      5. Like that. Kapun was ill and then died. Bosco bought Sawa to be Kapun’s friend, but now Kapun died.

    1. I say the first female will be his mum too. The first passenger is already his manager haha.

  6. What is with the criticism of him spending a lot and getting a car or tell g him to be more like who and who that doesn’t even have a car?!? We all know how stressful work is. He doesnt have a huge family he needs to take care of either.

Calm down. He’s stimulating the economy.

    1. Well he worked hard for all that money, so he should spend it how he wants. Although, I personally would not blow all that money on a car even if I did have that much money. My cousin did the same thing and all he does is leave the car in the garage and doesn’t dare to drive it. If I were him, I would save up for a house, donate to charity, take care of family and do other things rather than just spend it all on a car…But that’s me..

      1. Some of my male friends always spend a lot of money on their cars and they only change the habits when they got married and have a kid. This is quite a expensive hobby.

      2. He already has enough houses, he has like three, a car to fill that house ain;t that bad. But in my opinion I wouldn’t buy such an expensive car, I would want to blend more that be distinctive. Than again, that my opinion

    2. @Pandamo

The criticism lies in the fact he bought a RS5 when he could have got a BMW M3! 🙂

      1. Wow that much for the audi? If you buy it in the u.s it would be cheaper.

      1. But any sports car is expensive, plus audi is not the top top but it is pretty top of the line. Plus sport car makes it even more expensive.

  7. Omg! That’s Coca Cola red! With some white letters, it’s totally a Coca Cola car 🙂

Someone said: if a men choose a red car, is because he want to ride in a Ferrari, but can not buy a Ferrari 🙂

    Ps: I do like bosco

    1. Off topic story – Justin Bieber drives a Ferrari at 17 years old. Lucky chap 😛

      1. Than again he’s Justin Bieber, that way different from Bosco, Justin Bieber probably makes as much as Bosco does in a year, in a month. Lucky bastard. Plus he got that ferrari as a gift(right?) WOuldn’t be surprise if he would afford it himself.
P.S I’m not J. Biebs fan, but I kinda do just cause he’s Canadian!!! 😛 heheh and my friend is an obsessed fan, I mean (way off topic) she has a cardbaord cutout of him…

      2. “my friend is an obsessed fan, I mean (way off topic) she has a cardbaord cutout of him…

        Wow, that’s real obsessive.

      3. See how long that obsession lasts! And he also got an older girlfriend. So rich so young.

  8. TVB pays their artists very little money so I am guessing that they make more money elsewhere. Otherwise, I don’t think that they would be able to buy themselves such expensive cars. I remember how little the stars of the 80s were paid. They often mentioned how they had fame but had to be frugal and barely had enough money to pay for the things that they needed only. They could not afford things that they wanted. Back then, China hardly made any series so it was not possible to go to CHina for anything. However, I did notice that some Hk artists did film series for Taiwan though. I wonder if Taiwan paid better??

Congrats to Bosco on his success. It is about time that he rewarded himself with a new car just like other artists… I personally would have saved that money for a house because while it is nice to drive a nice car, what if you got into an accident?? That car would be gone..

  9. Kenneth Ma is also known to take the train to work. He has truly kept his frugal ways all through the years.

Bosco does come across as a spender. As long as he lives within his means and doesn’t incur debt he can’t pay off, I guess it doesn’t matter.

Different people have different attitudes towards money. You may say more conservative artists will watch what they spend because they can be famous today and unpopular the next, so they watch what they spend. Some people think more about the pleaures of today and don’t need as much savings in the bank.

Just live within your means….don’t buy houses you can’t afford and don’t have loads of carryover credit card debt. Always have enough of a financial nest to fall back on. In the end, occasional splurging won’t ruin you, it’s all about the daily habit.

    1. Yes Bosco is a big spender. As much as I like him I also hope he can invest more of the money instead of splurging on expensive cars. His three house still on mortgage and I don’t think the investment on funds and red wine is enough to support him and his future family with this expensive “changing cars” habit.

However it seems that he likes to spend on some momentary fun. Some people mature late than others I guess haha.

    2. I think that is the main difference with Asian artists versus American artists. Asian artists don’t make as much as American artists, but they are still very frugal compared to American artists. My brother and cousin always wondered how American artists make sooo much money but many are now in debt and are losing their homes. In fact, one of them had to rely on foodstamps. I still remember the story of a former CEO that made over $600,000 a year but then fell on hard times and had to deliver pizza for a living. Well, of course it is because of their spending habits. You can be rich and famous one moment, but poor and unknown the next moment. That is just how it is and is even more so like that in the entertainment circle due to the unstability of it.

    3. Bosco is probably the biggest spender ever. Women like to spend money on clothes, and men on fancy toys and cars. Where as Bosco likes to do BOTH!! So he spends double that the average person. (hehehe…my math is mearly a perdiction). But he does invest in money in the housing market, because in hong kong htat is a very good investement. Plus he has three houses, he’ll be good to go for a couple more years…

  10. …Boys and their TOYS haha. That shade of red reminds me of my baby brother’s first self purchased car…what a waste of money for short lived happiness. However, I’m also known to splurge on seemingly inane and useless skin care products. Face it people, we all have our temptations.

For some people though, like say Kenneth as Jayne pointed out, not spending is probably just a habit or way of life for them rather than meticulously thought out financial plan..HOWEVER these people are also the type to make one or two really large purposes like villas or what not.

As long as Bosco’s living within his means, I think that’s fine. If he’s living on credit, that’s not my taste…but that’s also not my bank account 😀 But I must confess, I don’t really care for this particular brand, model, or color. I wonder what his insurance is like? O_O Is it so impressive in HK to be able to afford that kind of purchase?

    1. Bosco loves Audi. Kenneth loves Donald Duck.

We can see whose hobby is more expensive. 😀

      1. I think Kenneth think more maturely and might be saving his money in the bank. I heard he doesn’t even buy a house yet. Maybe he wants to wait for a good house.

      2. LOL! That’s right, Kenneth is a big fan of
Donald Duck, huh? I think Perhaps Masa is right, too. He’s waiting to be able to purchase a villa with lots of acres. ::shrugs::

      3. I heard that Kenneth Ma buys Donald Duck things where ever he goes…hehehe. He is getting into his fourties and is getting old, he should really invest some of his money in houses. Then again he makes about half the amound Bosco makes, so it might take him a while to get a pay raise. But Kenneth Ma is getting more lead roles and becomming more popular.

      4. I think that is sooo cute that Kenneth like Donald Duck stuff. ONe of my friends does as well… It is nice to have a cute and cheaper hobby that you can actually enjoy and save money…

      5. @Yee,
Kenneth is not that old yet and honestly, I don’t think age really matters that much. Look at Adam Cheng, Andy Lau and many other veteran stars that are way older and are still excelling all the time. Therefore, I don’t think Kenneth needs to rush with anything at all. Since he doesn’t make as much, he still saving up and has plenty of time to do so.

      6. Yeah, but he is not as popular as they were before. He is kinda late to get popular for those like “b-list” actors. Once they reach fourty, it’s not that there career is dead, but they start to get less roles. But good thing he was a youthful face, cause he could always be like the next Kevin Cheng. I think he should be rushing a bit more than now to get money and a house, and eventually a wife and kids. THat was his birthday wish if I recall. ANd it’s about time…ANd that’s just my personal opinion, since I believe people should have kids before they turn fourty, cause then it’s just weird for the kid…

      7. @ Yee

If Kenneth wants to get married, he can get married at any time now. People can get married and have a family with less money. He’s already one of the top siu sang in TVB. I doubt he earn very little.

Of course, he has to have someone first before he can get married. That’s the most important part. 😀

      8. @Yee,
Well it depends on the person. If you are wondering, look at Wayne Lai.. He just got popular recently and is past 40 and is instead getting more popular as he gets older. Therefore, once again age should not always be the main factor. You can be popular when you are young and have decreasing popularity as you get older, but at the same time you can be less popular when young but more popular as you get older. It just varies depending on each person’s particular case. I think age is more of a factor for women if they want to have kids rather than for the guy. Some men have kids really late. I heard that Jiro Wang(Taiwanese singer and actor)’s father had him at 45!! Therefore, age should not always be a factor… By the way, just saw Kenneth in Can’t by love and gosh was he funny and cute…

      9. Nope, Kenneth Ma is getting paid really little still, maybe he will get a pay raise soon enough, but I think there is still some time ’till his contracts up, so untill than it’s only #18,000 per episode…Raymond Lam gets amost double. And Bowie Lam and Roger Kwok almost get Triple…so he does get paid very very very little to other siu sangs in TVB.
I know is that Bowie and Roger make 50,000 per episode, Moses and Raymond make 34,000, Kevin Cheng makes 26,000, Ron Ng 24,000, Bosco 22,000 and last Kenneth Ma. Oh yeah Steven Ma makes 46,000.
Wayne Lai might have gotten popular when in his forties, but at least he has a family. Whereas Kenneth has “nothing”. If he wanted to get married, he really couldn’t right way…he would have to find Miss. Right, then date, by the time they were to get married he would be 40.

      10. @Yee,
I had a feeling that Kenneth got paid really little, which may be part of the reason why he is so frugal(not sure but just speculating). It is true that at least Wayne already has a family. These days, people don’t seem to need to date as long as before in order to get married. Just look at Barbie’s 20 day romance and you can see that anything is possible… Also, who said that Kenneth had to get married before 40?? he is a guy so his biological clock is longer than a girl’s. Therefore, I don’t think he has anything to worry about…

      11. Eh no biggy it’s his life he can do whatever he wants with it. Maybe he’ll get married when he’s in his 80 or 90s like the guy who started TVB. When in entertainement people always get married late anyway(most of the time)He’ll just enjoy he height in this career right now I guess. Women, and houses are probably in this futur picture.

      12. Kenneth’s because a trip to Disneyland in the US will worth probably a few audis.

      13. @ Yee

Compares to other TVB Siu Sang, it might be little, but, compared to normal people’s salary or salary of other non-siu sang’s TVB actors, it’s not ‘really little’. If Jack Wu can get married, so, can he. I don’t think money is the problem here. The problem here is just finding a Ms.Right. 😀

He only need to film two 30 episodes series, he already earn HKD1080000.

I’m surprised at Steven’s fee. It’s nearly double that of Kevin’s.

      14. But isn’t this fee chart is said to be out of date? As a LF fan, I find an error in this chart. LF’s contract will be end in 2012, not 2017 because he signed a 5 years one on 2007 (said by him), so it’ll be ended next year.

      15. I thought everyone has realised by now that no one is with TVB for the meagre per-episode pay they get from filming. They obviously earn their keep from endorsements and functions; TV artistes/idol singers do a lot more of that than movie artistes for example. I am also willing to bet that an A-list TVB “star” earns at least the same amount, if not more, than the average doctor or lawyer.

      16. I’m sorry but Donald Duck just cannot run faster than a Audi RS5. Shit, he couldn’t even beat a Volkswagen…

  11. Good for him that he can spend money on a luxurious car. Everyone’s spending habits are different, so even some very wealthy people are frugal. And each person’s interests are different. Some spend it on beauty and fashion, some on jewelry, some spend it on vacations and food, some like cars, and some like gadgets. As long as they actually have the money to pay for it and not incur debt, then that’s okay.
I do like to style of the car, but the color is awful. I guess he wants the paparazzi to easily spot him, lol.. can’t miss that car when it’s bright red!

    1. In his weibo, his dream car is a “pink” Audi LOL

      1. I know. I thought it was neon pink. it would be sexier than coca cola red.

      2. I like his choice of color. 😀

Distinctive and out of the box. People usually go for dull colored cars.

    1. That is exactly the reason why I would never want to drive a nice car. You never know what can happen on the road.

      1. @HeTieShoul

That’s why you need a very fast car; to escape the car crash! 🙂

  12. According to another report, it is estimated that Bosco Wong has over HK$8 millions in assets (3 apts, stocks and wine, cars).

With fame and wealth, no wonder everyone’s daydreaming about becoming the next celebrity.

But I think Bosco well deserve what he has: He communicates well in public; he is entertaining in his concerts and TVB game shows; he is smart, hardworking and respects the seniors. He is also tall, with broad shouldered, big eyes, tall nose, full lips, and pointy chin–from an angle he has the look of Japanese anime i.e Darien/Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon.

Keep up the good work! when have time, please spend more time on homework and singing lessons. Drink less.

    1. He does not look like Tuxedo Mask. TM doesn’t have big eyes and thick lips and TM is fair skin. 😛

    2. If Bosco is Tuxedo Mask then Myolie is Sailor Moon? LMAO.

      1. Omg Fox..You just made me imagining Myolie in that Sailor Moon outfit and hair haha

      2. Myolie: Moon Prism Power Make Up!
(Bosco throws a stalk of rose)

      3. Kidd: Laughing out Loud. Oh my mental image.

        Fox: Kate? Tavia?

      4. Who are the other sailors? Fala’s current wig is fit to be Neptune sailor :P.

      5. No… if it’s anything, I’ll be Sailor Moon! Myolie can be Sailor Mars–they’re both feisty. Fox, you can be the Black Moon Queen.

      6. @Masaharu: I personally think 620 Lok Yi Ling is fit to be Black Moon Queen :P.

P/S: Myolie has a lot of cats, can use one to be lunar. The cat in When a dog loves a cat is cute. It’s her cat. But among all the cats, I think Charmaine’s cat BB looks cutest.

      7. @TVB fan: But Tuxedo Mask loves Sailor Moon and Bosco loves Myolie, not you? If that you will have to change the storyline and Bosco will loves Mars sailor :P.

I dun wannabe an actress, so save the chance for others. Thanks.

      8. Sailor Mercury: Linda Chung?
        Sailor Mars: Nancy Wu? 😛

      9. @Masaharu: I personally think 620 Lok Yi Ling is fit to be Black Moon Queen

Ah forgot about her. She will be very fitting but can she act? hahahaha

A good idea. Kate and Tavia can be casted for the other Sailors 😛

      10. Linda is very fitting to be Sailor Mercury.

Kate looks like Queen Beryl. But, since 620 is going to play Queen Beryl (I assume Black Moon Queen = Queen Beryl), Kate can play feisty Sailor Mars. Fala can play Sailor Venus.

      11. I want to switch Fala and Linda’s roles. Mercury looks smart and nerdy while Linda is not. She looks like a weak fragile girl so she has the look of Venus. Pluto, I think of Bernice. She looks healthy and strong.

BTW, I think LF looks like Tuxedo Mask than Bosco. In this case, Mavis is Sailor moon? LMAO.

      12. I know is silly. I suddenly thought of Sammul being Sailor Jupiter. 😛

I remember his cross-dressing stint in ‘Bride for a Ride’. He looks feminine but has big size. Jupiter is taller than the other 4 inner senshis. 😛

      13. LMFAO!!!I practically Laugh-Out-Loud when I read all the comments above! You guys are seriously funny with all this sailormoon characters!!Someone write a fanfic out of it!!!!I want Bosco to be the Tuxedo Mask and Myolie to be sailormoon!! 🙂

    3. TVB Fan: Just curious, were you thinking of Tuxedo Mask because yesterday Bosco bought a mask? Hahaha

      1. Why does Bosco fans love this picture from Moonlight Resonance so much? I hate that doctor character he’s so wishy washy and hurt two women’s hearts.

      2. Looking at looks, I think he did look probably sorta somewhat kinda best in that awful noisy series.

      3. Funn, laughing at your description of “Moonlight Resonance.” Exactly my sentiments. Actually, watching a few snippets didn’t really encourage me to see the rest of the series.

      4. Ling B(Dr Ling) huh..What a thankless character.

I dislike Moonlight Resonance. What a “noisy” drama. So many WTF scenes too.

This photo is popular among Bosco fans because it’s good. Dislike the drama, but the airport scene is quite good.

  13. This article makes me wanna be a celebrity right now! with all the monies and cars…what a dream.

    1. Post your picture and I’ll let you know if you have the potential. =)

      1. Looks are over rated, talent can last longer but wait, most of them got even more famous because of their personal life/ news/ scandals!:P

  14. Personally feel if they have the ability to earn the money, they can spend it in any way they wish.

Even normal mortals are buying luxury cars these days. Boys and cars is akin to girls and shopping.

  15. how is this news? Bosco purchased a $1.3 million HKD car? so?

    1. @Sky

He bought a shit car!!! Now laugh at him!!! How can laughter at a man’s dream car not be news 🙂

    1. Of course! Bad taste – comment. type of car – comment. Choice of colour – comment. Who sits in it – comment. Price – comment. Alternatives – comment.

If Jaybe were to post just a picture of Bosco staring at a moon, I BET there will be loads of comments.

      1. Funn, no need to be so meticulous. Just treat this as informal conversation with friends. 🙂

      2. Everyone seems to dislike Bosco’s color choice. I think the car itself is okay; it would have looked okay in a deep, dark gray. Bosco’s vehicle also reflects his personal fashion sense, which is bold and screams to be different.

      3. But Jayne, red, chilli sort of red. Different yes, disturbingly different. That sort of red belongs to ferrari or is this Audi’s schizo car?

      4. Jayne: Do you know what is the actual color of the car? The released pictures and videoa all have different tones of camera lighting that I don’t know what to call the color LOL. I assume it’s Red?

      5. He should spray paint it pink.

That’s his dream audi color, right?

      6. @Masaharu, the photos above look bright red. The original Chinese article also described the car as red.

Sports cars are usually a bright red. Some Hondas come in a darker garnet color, but Bosco’s is definitely red and not rose, fuschia or whatever the print colors may make it look like.
