Samantha Ko Secretly Dating Tang Chi Wai for 3 Years

In the entertainment industry for eight years, Samantha Ko (高海寧) has a surprisingly scarce amount of romantic rumors. However, the façade of a dull love life may finally be uncovered, as the 29-year-old actress has secretly been dating 40-year-old songwriter, Tang Chi Wai (鄧智偉), for three years.

Photographed recently entering the same residential building one after another, Samantha and Tang Chi Wai’s relationship finally came to light. Meeting through mutual friends in 2012, the couple began dating shortly after. They are speculated to be currently living together.

In order to prevent any hindrance in Samantha’s career and due to Tang Chi Wai’s former position as music director at TVB, the couple agreed to keep their relationship under wraps. To avoid being discovered by the paparazzi, they agreed to always return home at separate times, disguise themselves before entering the premises, and pretend to not know each other in public. Many times, Samantha would instead return to her mother’s home when she discovered that she was being followed by reporters.

Despite the 11-year age gap, an insider revealed that Tang Chi Wai is actually a very caring and attentive boyfriend. “He dotes on Samantha a lot. He is attentive and not flirty. The most important thing is that he really respects Samantha and takes care of her very well. I’ve heard that he has even given her a credit card to spend at her own discretion. On top of that, he’s also very talented. No wonder Samantha is so in love with him!”

  1. True “caring and attentive” go beyond “given her a credit card to use.” Is this how people measure love and relationship now aday? Ooo he gives her a bunch of money, therefore he must reeally loves her. What rubbish lol.

    1. @jjwong that’s how HK is. A hk has to spend all his earnings on his gf or he won’t be considered a good bf. And if his gf that earns more than him, he’ll be the butt end joke for eternity and hated by everyone.

      1. @mike Ah so yesteryears. It’s good to have financial stability but a relationship should, needs, has to go beyond that.
