From Friend to Boss, Louis Koo Works Closely with Jessica Hsuan

Throughout the 1990 and early 2000 era, Jessica Hsuan and Louis Koo established themselves as one of television’s most adored pairing. Although Louis and Jessica took their careers in separate directions in the past decade, the pair continued to maintain their friendship. Recently, Jessica entrusted her career to Louis and signed under his company, One Cool Film Productions. Louis also announced the company’s plan to film a movie version of the time-traveling classic, A Step into the Past <尋秦記>, in which he and Jessica will reunite on-screen, much to the delight of fans.

Working closely together again, Jessica and Louis recently attended a jewelry event. Having been friends for more than 20 years, Jessica expressed her full confidence in Louis’ work arrangements for her and stressed that the change in roles from friends to employer has not changed their dynamic. “Since Louis is the company’s boss, I don’t have to worry about collaboration opportunities. Usually, when he arranges work for me, I would naturally just go and do it because his team is very professional. In terms of work, the company has organized my work very well. Because of that, I don’t have to worry about what kind of events they are asking me to attend.”

In addition to collaborating on A Step into the Past, Louis and Jessica will also be filming another movie together. Jessica shared, “Our first film is Crime Scene <犯罪現場>. Filming will begin soon. My scenes with Louis will start filming around August. The other movie is Back to the Past, the film adaptation of A Step Into the Past. This is a big production and will begin film possibly around October or November. I am excited and anticipated for every new project, but A Step into the Past is different. The television version ultimately is a classic.” Jessica will be resuming her role as the impulsive and spoiled Wu Ting Fong (烏廷芳).

  1. Sad how these two don’t date lol! They were my favourite couple in detective file investigation! First couple that really make out well on screen lawl!

    1. @littlefish Sometimes when people are still single when they are already in late 40’s or 50s, they often come to the conclusion that they might be gay or lesbian. Have anyone ever wonder if Louis Koo is gay? haha lol… I am not saying he is but usually people assume that if they are not attached at a older age you know what I mean? We never heard anything of him or dating anyone or I just know nothing about him. haha ….

      1. @wm2017 I know what you mean! I wish he would come out if he is gay, as I love him and would like to see him happy 🙂 My other two favourite actors are Chilam and Vic Zhou, and those two seems to be in stable loving relationship with kid! Hopefully one day Louis will get there 🙂 or just have a puppy and gush about them! Lol xD

      2. @wm2017 It is that kind of stereotypical blanket statements which makes things really awkward for single people as they get older. Why would it be necessary to compellingly fit someone into a mold that society sees fit? Life is not a series of programming logic with only IF ELSE statements.

Regardless of whether Louis is homosexual, heterosexual, asexual or pansexual, we should all respect his wish to live the way he wants.

  2. I think singles can be happy whether or not they are married. It is more important to be rich, than to be single or married.
Louis Koo used to have a girlfriend who was an actress in TVB and I used to wonder why they broke up. I think it was the actress who acted in Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils 1997.

  3. I think I read a report a long time ago about how Louis Koo has memory problems. Or maybe he has trouble with retaining long-term memory? After an accident or something. It baffles me how he’s able to still do movies and remember crazy long scripts if that’s true. He didn’t even remember he did a movie with Charlene before; that’s how bad his memory was.

Maybe that’s the reason why he can’t have a relationship. How sucky is it to have a GF but not even remember loll. It’s like 50 first dates.
