Elanne Kong, Eliza Sam Star in Wilson Chin’s “Hot Madam”
Eliza Sam (岑麗香), Jade Leung (梁琤), Jacky Choi (蔡潔), Jeana Ho (何佩瑜) and Anita Chui (崔碧珈) gathered at a boxing training for director Wilson Chin’s (錢國偉) new film, Hot Madam <辣警霸王花>. The movie also stars Elanne Kong (江若琳) as a Special Duties Unit (SDU) officer. Although Elanne was not present at today’s training, Wilson believes that Elanne will be able to proceed with the filming despite the current contract dispute with her management company, Universal International.
After claiming that Universal failed to compensate her fairly over the last ten years, Elanne issued a legal letter to the company, hoping to end her contract early. Universal boss, Daneil Lam (林小明), ridiculed Elanne’s claim, “Without any income, how is she able to pay for expenses?” Before the dispute erupted, Universal accepted the Hot Madam project for Elanne. If she does not fulfill the filming obligations and other responsibilities, Elanne is liable to pay a seven-figure sum.
Wilson remains confident that Elanne will be filming for Hot Madam, “Elanne’s manager said it is not a problem. I believe she will not pass up a good role.” When asked if he was afraid that Elanne will pull out of her role similar to what Dada Chen (陳靜) had done for Lan Kwai Fong 3 <喜愛夜蒲3> after filming started, Wilson said, “They’re different people. If something happens this time, we can shuffle the female artistes around to compensate.”
Although the rest of the cast has already started training for Hot Madam, it may be next week before Elanne can join the training. Since Elanne is known to train rigorously for her past film roles, Eliza said that she will need to put in more efforts to match up with her co-star. Eliza said, “I heard that she is very hard-working! I also have to train harder! I want my muscles to be firmer!”
