Leehom Wang Visits Family in New York, to Join “The Voice of China”

Thanks to the busy filming schedule for Cyber <駭客交鋒>, an upcoming action film starring Chris Hemsworth, Viola Davis, and Tang Wei (湯唯), singer/actor Leehom Wang (王力宏) has not had a chance to visit his family in New York State for the past three months. During a recent break in filming, Leehom rushed home to celebrate Chinese Father’s Day, which took place on August 8, and uploaded a photo on his Sina Weibo to show off the happy family reunion.

According to Leehom, he and his younger brother displayed their filial obedience by playing tennis with their father and helping him clean up the house. The two brothers quickly found themselves on the losing end of the tennis court, since their father plays three times a week. Nevertheless, they enjoyed the rare opportunity to participate in their father’s favorite sport.

Because Leehom has limited time to spend with his father, he figured that helping him clean up the house was the “most practical” Father’s Day gift. He recalled that once, when he was 11 years old, he helped his father set up the ceramic tiles in their house. “When we finished setting them up, we pressed our handprints into the remaining cement,” Leehom shared. “[My father] did his left hand, and I did my right hand.”

During this family visit, Leehom also dropped by his old music school, which he had attended since he was 6 years old, as well as a videotape store where he had previously worked. “In high school, I worked the cash register, so I had to have watched every movie in the store,” he said. “Now when I film movies, I can use the knowledge that I learned then.”

After his weeklong break, Leehom will return to filming Cyber. On August 16, he will also fly to Shanghai to serve as a judge for the second season of The Voice of China <中國好聲音>.

  1. Looks like a cute n sweet family but that’s the younger brother?? wow, LM looks cuter I guess.

      1. Really?? He may have used Botox but not sure about PS.

      2. I also do not think he had any PS done. Not sure about botox and any minor enchancements though…

      3. I have no doubt he has not done any major or even minor surgery to his face. He looked the same as he was younger except slimmer, older. Age does change a person’s face, a little.

However on the question of his sexuality, I am beginning to believe the gay rumours. All those rumours about woman, A Mei (a gay icon I heard) may be smokescreen? Red herring? Doesn’t mean he is not talented though.

      4. A person’s sexuality has nothing to do with whether they are a good person or if they are talented or not.

About PS, I also do not think he had anything since he still looks pretty much the same for the most part as he always did. He may have had some minor enhancements but that may be it.

      5. Leehom may look younger than his age but he actually has aged a lot . Looking back his photos every year and you can see that . He totally looks much more mature than how he was in Shangrila(2005) , Heroes of earth (2006) , heart beat (2008 ) album periods … no more baby face =.=

      6. Who does not age and can be forever young? It is not like we are immortal. But the main thing is if we can age well and gracefully or not. Celebs have really stressful and busy lifestyle so of course they will age and may age even more than the average person will.

  2. Very sweet family. Leehom look like his mom and I think his brother took after his father’s features. Didn’t I read somewhere his dad is pediatrician?.

    1. That’s what I was thinking and it is great that he shared his sweet family photo with everyone. What a sweet family…

  3. Wonder why Jaynestars prefers to report about this family story of Wang and doesn’t write about Leehom’s signing with CAA and getting the leading role in Stan Lee’s new movie “The Annihilator” (US movie).
