Due to the coronavirus outbreak, many people around the world are advised to stay at home, and even after completing her mandatory 14-day quarantine since traveling back to Hong Kong from Malaysia, Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍) has decided that it’s better to stay indoors for the time being.
Aside from taking up new hobbies, Charlene has also been doing some early spring cleaning, and, in the midst, found some goodies from her childhood. Apparently, Charlene was a huge Aaron Kwok (郭富城) fangirl, and owned almost all of his album releases.
Growing up during the golden years of Cantopop, Charlene also owns CDs from Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文) and Leon Lai (黎明).
Sharing her Aaron Kwok collection, Charlene wrote on Instagram, “Collecting this wasn’t easy. I had to score 100 points in 10 tests in a row before my mother would buy me one album. When I got a little older, I bought albums using the allowance I saved.”
Charlene had used the CDs so much to the point that the jewel cases started chipping, and the packaging had also started ripping. She even lost part of a lyric book. “I must’ve listened to this so many times and read the lyric books over and over. Now the packaging looks like this. I kind of regret it. Why didn’t I preserve it better? Can someone offer their lyric book to me?”
Fortunately, Charlene doesn’t need to worry for too long. Aaron’s manager, Siu Mei (小美) commented, “Let me try to find one for you. I’ll be going back to work on Monday.”
