Hawick Lau Doesn’t Mind Washing Yang Mi’s Underwear

Since Hawick Lau (劉愷威) and Yang Mi‘s (楊冪) marriage in 2014, they have been busy with their own filming careers. The couple even left their three-year-old daughter in the care of Hawick’s parents in Hong Kong. Hawick and Yang Mi would return to Hong Kong to visit their daughter during filming breaks. With so little time together, it is not a surprise that the media often claims the couple is on the brink of divorce.

Last year, Hawick visited co-star Angel Wang (王鷗) in her hotel room in the middle of the night to rehearse their script together, sparking “cheating rumors”. But Yang Mi said she trusted Hawick and put a stop to the cheating speculations.

Similarly, Yang Mi has been frequently rumored with her co-stars. While filming Swords of Legends <古劍奇譚> with Li Yifeng (李易峰), the pair became close friends. Fans noted that the two were very cozy during promotional events and were photographed wearing matching clothing.

In a recent television program, Hawick once again denied there were problems in his marriage. Emphasizing that small arguments are bound to arise in a marriage, Hawick makes sure to apologize to Yang Mi first. He said Yang Mi knows the password to his cellphone, and would let her look through his phone freely.

Hawick even admitted that he washes Yang Mi’s underwear from time to time. He said he will wash them if he sees them in the dirty laundry pile. Upon hearing his confession, many fans praised Hawick and called him “Husband of the Century”.

What can’t PPRZ leave them alone? People seem to delight in seeing break ups?

Why must a man who washes his wife’s undies be a prerequisite to being a good husband? I am flabbergasted that they even ask such a question. What a warped sense of priority in determining a good relationship.

p.s. Just put the undies into a washing machine!

Their daughter looks like she has monolid, but both Hawick & Yang Mi have double eyelids, no? Does that mean one of them had plastic o.O?

Also, weird info provided by Hawick lol. It’s sweet how he does it for his wife, though. Me thinks he’s a bit whipped, but it’s cute.

@coralie Little Sticky Rice seems to resemble grandpa, Lau Dan. Hawick’s eyelids were not as prominent when he first started in the industry. His features have become more defined over time, likely due to some enhancements along the way.

@coralie Yang Mi was a pretty kid. I do not think she has any PS. I haven’t seen Harwick’s child pix before. He is handsome, IMO. Sticky Rice is cute.

Huh? They don’t have a maid or a washing machine? Who needs to wash undies by hand these days (I’m assuming that’s what he meant otherwise where’s the drama factor)? He gotta be joking or desperate to be called a loving hubby.

@passingby even if they have a housekeeper, I hope that they ALSO have a washing machine, haha.I refrain from calling anyone a maid or a servant. That word is not appropriate in the Western culture anymore, and I agree.

@bubbletea unfortunately that’s what they’re still called here in Asia. However i agree that domestic helper is a more appropriate word.
