Jacqueline Wong Unfollows Andy Hui and Sammi Cheng on Instagram

It has already been two years since Jacqueline Wong (黃心穎) and Andy Hui (許志安) were caught kissing inside a taxi. With both hoping to re-establish their careers, they tried distancing themselves from the scandal. It was recently discovered that Jacqueline unfollowed both Andy and his wife Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文) on Instagram, which many suspect that she wants to cut off any remaining ties to make a comeback.

Still in a stalemate with her eight-year TVB contract, Jacqueline has been left without any income due to lack of filming opportunities. It was reported earlier that Jacqueline even had to sell her home for 10 million yuan, which is lower than the asking price in order to take a small profit.

Although Jacqueline tried to salvage her relationship with Kenneth Ma (馬國明), the actor is now dating Jacqueline’s good friend Roxanne Tong (湯洛雯). Perhaps finding it awkward, Jacqueline had also unfollowed Roxanne last year.

On the other hand, Sammi and Andy are putting the scandal behind them. Forgiving Andy for cheating, Sammi reacted calmly to the situation. Working out with Jacqueline at the gym several times before the scandal, Sammi continues following her on Instagram even now and has never spoken an ill word about the actress in public.

With Sammi’s encouragement, Andy is taking small steps towards his comeback. Last June, Andy first tested the waters by making a guest appearance on ViuTV’s Chill Club. Despite few professional jobs these past two years, he continues to prepare mentally and physically for his return.

With plans to film a movie in Taiwan, he posted a short Instagram video after staying silent for six months. He sang “A Man of Purpose” <有心人> in honor of the late Leslie Cheung ( 张国荣) while playing the keyboard and wearing his wedding ring, seemingly showing his dedication as a singer and husband at the same time.

  1. Andy is lucky that his career is based in HK. He would not be able to make a comeback if he’s in China. Many celebs’ career in China died over smaller issues.

    1. @hohliu not true. If that’s the case why was Sheren Tang off the hook but not the guy? Why is Ashley forgiven but not Jackson? There’s more to that list. It has to do with how bad the situation is and whether or not the person at fault dealt with it correctly.

      1. @abcd It depends on who has more money and fame BUT it also depends if the one cheating is male or female. Asian culture favors males and MOST of the time the guy gets away with it easier.
