Jinny Ng Talks About Love Hotels

Singers Jinny Ng (吳若希) and Joey Thye (戴祖儀) appeared at the press conference of TVB’s new program 8 Hong Kong <8個香港>, in which eight female celebrities showcase the different aspects of the city. Jinny is tasked with exploring different love hotels in Hong Kong to investigate Hong Kong’s pressing issue of the lack of land for private spaces.

“I will be uncovering some ‘spaces’ for married couples,” Jinny explained. “The company helped me dig up some love hotels, including some with different themes. There was even a room for punishment, so if you want to look at the different forms of torture, you can go there.”

She continued, “I like romance themes, I’m not particularly fond of [waterbeds, round beds, and mirrors] because they are too old school.”

Hearing this, Joey added that waterbeds leak easily and will damage the floor.

When the reporter asked Jinny if she would go to love hotels with her husband, she cheekily said, “Luckily, I have enough private space at home. Maybe in two years time when we’re bored, we’ll go to these places to rekindle our romance.”

Moreover, she admitted feeling embarrassed when she was shooting at the love hotels. “I went to some expensive ones and some cheap ones. Although we shot early, people will still glance at you when you enter and exit because there are a lot of light boxes at the door,” Jinny expressed.

On the other hand, Joey did not have to experience that. Responsible for going to the favorite places of young people, she once drank six milk teas from different cuisines in one day.

Why is Jinny always high during interviews? Saw another interview where she was laughing non stop throughout when asked about how her colleague is doing in the hospital.
