Joo Ji Hoon and Jun Ji Hyun to Star in Korean Drama “Mount Jiri”

The filming for Korean drama Mount Jiri begins this month, and it is already getting a lot of buzz for its strong cast and production team.

While little details have been disclosed, the media has reported that Hallyu stars Joo Ji Hoon and Jun Ji Hyun are expected to play the lead roles. Other artistes to make an appearance include Oh Jung Se and Jeon Seok Ho.

The drama is named after one of Korea’s mountains and tells the story of Joo Ji Hoon’s character as a Mountain Park Ranger. After Joo Ji Hoon discovered that he was able to see the spirits of those who perished in the mountain, he teams up with Jun Ji Hyun’s character to uncover the mountain’s secrets.

Aside from the star-studded cast, the drama combines the talent of director Lee Eung Bok and screenwriter Kim Eun Hee. Director Kim Woo Seok carries an impressive resume having directed popular dramas such as Descendants of the Sun, Goblin and Mr. Sunshine. Not to be overlooked, screenwriter Kim Eun Hee wrote many beloved Korean dramas such as SignSignal and the zombie series Kingdom.

While the drama’s release date has not been officially announced, filming is scheduled to continue to June 2021.
