Katy Kung Buys New Home

Katy Kung (龔嘉欣) has been given more opportunities in recent years. Her performance in Two Steps of Heaven <幕後玩家> helped her clinch the TVB Best Supporting Actress Award in 2016. Continuing to land roles in Bet Hur <賭城群英會>, My Ages Apart <誇世代>, The Forgotten Valley <平安谷之詭谷傳說), Justice Bao: The First Year <包青天再起風雲>, and The Dripping Sauce <大醬園>, Katy has been met with financial success too.

The Year of the Rat is also starting off on a good note for Katy. Rumored to be dating a rich second generation in Malaysia named Bryan, Katy also celebrated her 30th birthday by opening up her own restaurant in Malaysia.

The 30-year-old actress also recently became a new homeowner. Although Hong Kong is known for its high property prices, Katy purchased a 504-square-feet home in Metropark Bay, Tseung Kwan O for $9.5 million HKD.

Katy continues to have work lined up for the rest of the year, as she is currently filming for new drama, Hong Kong Love Story <香港愛情故事>, alongside Joey Law (羅天宇) and Hana Kuk (菊梓喬).

  1. wonder whats so popular she dont fit the category of being pretty i really dont see what other ppl see in her

    1. @sherla1019 I find it more shocking that she’s able to afford such a apt/condo in HK when most so called tvb actors struggled and had to rent for years before they even get recognized. But I guess her dating a rich dude speeds up any process. haha lol…

  2. Katy Kung acted quite well in any roles. Unfortunately, she does not have the lead actress’ charisma. She is a good supporting actress. She can do good and villainous roles. She is one of the good supporting actresses.

  3. Honestly don’t get all the hate that this girl gets. She’s a better actress than many others who have been promoted in the past. I personally think she has more acting chops than Sharon Chan and is also more versatile.

Wouldn’t say I am a fan of Katy nor do I find her charismatic enough for lead roles but can’t deny that she plays both villainous (Gloves Come Off, The Dripping Sauce) and pitiful roles (Two Steps from Heaven, The Forgotten Valley) pretty well.
