Michael Tse Buys New Luxury Home After Leaving TVB
Michael Tse (謝天華) took his career to new heights after leaving TVB in 2013. After starting his own management agency, the Laughing Workshop, the 48-year-old actor took part in a myriad of different projects—he briefly did a music tour with his Young and Dangerous <古惑仔> costars and had participated in the Chinese reality series Survivor Games <跟著貝爾去冒險>, a survival show in which Michael and a team of other celebrities embark on risky adventures with Bear Grylls.
But the risks are not without rewards. The success of Young and Dangerous and Survivor Games gave Michael a fat wallet. A magazine source revealed that the Laughing Gor star purchased a 1,000 sq. ft. luxury home in Tai Hang for $40 million HKD last year. He spent an additional $3 million HKD on the flat’s renovations. Michael and his family are still residing in a rented apartment, but the source predicted that they would move into their new home as early as March of this year.
Michael and wife Tina Lee’s (李天恩) decision to move into Tai Hang was for their one-year-old son, Theo Tse (謝浩飛). Tai Hang is known for having one of the best school districts in the region, and the couple plan to enroll their son to the one of the schools when he comes of age.
