Michelle Yeoh and Jean Todt Tie the Knot

This year has been a big year for Michelle Yeoh (楊紫瓊). Besides being the first Asian woman to win Best Actress at the 2023 Academy Awards, Michelle swept many international accolades for her performance in Everything, Everywhere All at Once. Reaching extraordinary success in her career, the 60-year-old was not letting the momentum stop and got married with long-time fiancé, ex-Ferrari CEO Jean Todt, in an intimate ceremony in Switzerland last week.

The couple met in 2004. Within two months, Jean successfully proposed to Michelle after their personalities instantly clicked. The couple has been engaged for 19 years before finally tying the knot.

Keeping their wedding plans under wraps, the couple did not intend to publicly announce their marriage. However, excited attendees shared photos of Michelle’s wedding. One photo showed Michelle in a body-hugging champagne wedding dress cutting a two-tiered wedding cake with Jean, who wore a sleek navy suit.

Another photo showed Michelle and Jean when they were younger with a timeline of their love story. The photo was captioned with, “We met in Shanghai on June 4, 2004. On July 26, 2004, J.T proposed to marry M.Y and she said YES! Today after 6992 days on July 27, 2023 in Geneva, surrounded by loving family and friends, we are so happy to celebrate this special moment together!”
