Moses Chan, Kalok Chow to Headline “The Deer and the Cauldron” Spin-off
Inspired by classic wuxia comedy The Duke of Mount Deer <鹿鼎記>, TVB golden producer Joe Chan’s (陳維冠) upcoming drama Forty-Two Sutras <四十二章經> has excited many fans!

With viewers having fond memories of the 1984 adaptation of Louis Cha’s (金庸) historical romance The Deer and the Cauldron, TVB has decided to ride on the nostalgia wave to refresh the series, but in the format of a suspenseful modern comedy.
When contacted, Joe confirmed that the drama is in the works but was unable to disclose the cast, though Moses Chan (陳豪) and Kalok Chow (周嘉洛) are rumored to be playing the lead characters.
As for the female leads, a few names including Katy Kung (龔嘉欣), Zoie Tam (譚凱琪) and Kaman Kong (江嘉敏) have been raised. Currently busy filming Your Highness, The Hooligan <痞子殿下>, Kalok shared that he has yet to receive any confirmed news, though he added, “I’d be very excited If I get to work with Moses!”
