Mr. Hong Kong 2010: Ten Contestants Meet the Press

Ten contestants for the 2010 Mr. Hong Kong Contest have been chosen from the earlier round of interviewed applicants. The contest will be held in August this year. The men wore very tight fitting sports suits that clung to their bodies, revealing their nipple outlines and emphasizing their crotch area.

Earlier, a tabloid published topless photos of muscular contestant #4, Angus Ip Kin Hei. The photos were distributed to his modeling agency and he was confident of his figure. The press has pegged him as bearing a resemblance to Eric Suen Yiu Wai, but Angus said discontentedly, “Perhaps so!”

Contestant #5, Ronan Bak Kin Yan, appeared with a tanned face but whitened neck. Ronan said he tanned fully under the sun, however the make-up may have produced the mismatched effect. The press pointed that that he posted many swimsuit photos of his muscular, male friends on his Facebook [alluding to his gay status]. “The people are either male or female! There are also many photos of girls!”  Among his Facebook photos,  there was a photo of Ronan doing a leg split on the beach. At first glance, he appeared to not be wearing pants in the photo. At the press conference yesterday, Ronan stated his sexual-orientation clearly and that he preferred dating women. Ronan dated three times in the past and have never dated any men before.

  1. Jayne, how do you know who is who in the accompanying pictures? I read several Mr.HK articles and there’s no caption with the accompanying pictures to tell who is who. I would really like tho know. I check the Mr.HK page in TVB.com and the individual photo and profiles are also not up yet (I didn’t check out the videos though). I can only guess based on the article’s description.

  2. Kidd, I found profiles on Baidu, which should be pretty reliable. I just posted the profiles on my site. They’re entertaining to read…just like dating ads.
