Myolie Wu Admits Discussing Marriage with Boyfriend

Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) previously mentioned slowing down her work and hoping to have better balance in her personal life. As her relationship with entrepreneur Philip Lee is very stable, she is often asked about her marriage plans.

Yesterday, at an event for Ocean Kingdom, Myolie joked about never wanting an underwater wedding in fear of her makeup melting during the celebration. As the spokesperson for Ocean Kingdom, Myolie received a seven-digit compensation for her work.

Besides her work with Ocean Kingdom, Myolie’s earnings grew substantially after her appearance on Mainland reality show, Wonderful Friends <奇妙的朋友>. Myolie expressed, “For the show, I had to get my scuba diving license and dive into very deep parts of the ocean. Swimming with big fish was scary, but it was an unforgettable experience.”

With her TVB contract set to expire this coming July, Myolie has yet to renew the agreement with the station. Although she has dodged questions about eventually leaving the company, it is rumored that she has plans to get married. When asked if she will be getting married at the end of the year, Myolie laughed. “Not yet. But I can’t say that we’ve never talked about it. We’re not young and we’re not in our twenties anymore. We both have an understanding on each other’s goals and thoughts.”
