Navy Private Park Bo Gum Greets Fans in New Video

Record of Youth actor Park Bo Gum bid fans a temporary farewell when he officially enlisted for activity military duty on August 31, 2020 to fulfill his mandatory military service as a South Korean.

But fans didn’t have to stay sad for long. The actor, who has joined the Navy, has appeared in a new promotional video for Navy recruitment.

He introduced himself as “Korean navy private Park Bo Gum” and offered words of encouragement to young people as they struggle to begin new lives in a society during the COVID-19 pandemic in the one-minute long video.

Park Bo Gum joined the Navy in October, after completing his six-week basic military training. He is currently serving as a cultural promotion soldier in the Navy. He is expected to end his military service on April 30, 2022.

His new film with Gong Yoo, Seo Bok, will premiere on December 2, 2020.
