Raymond Lam Admits Dining with Big-Busted Mainland Anchorwoman

Since Raymond’s bed photos with Mavis Pan Shuangshuang circulated last week, new rumors linked him with big-busted anchorwoman, Wan Ya. Earlier, Raymond was spotted sharing dinner with Wen Ya at a hotel restaurant. The pair laughed loudly together and allegedly, Raymond and Wen Ya went upstairs to a hotel room afterwards.

Raymond denied the latest rumors with Wen Ya, “Please don’t talk about this anymore! That evening, I had dinner with several members of the production crew. I knew that there was a photographer taking photos from afar. I am tired hearing about this news and will not explain anymore.” Since this was a sensitive time following the bed photos scandal with Mavis Pan, Raymond noted that he felt tired in addressing rumors of this nature.

Jayne: This piece of news linking Raymond and Wen Ya was obviously exaggerated. They shared dinner, but likely no more.  I think we will see this pattern of rumors appear more, as Raymond will be linked to many more big-busted women.

The most rampant rumors are ones linking him to 18-year-old model, Rose Chan, who starred in two of Raymond’s music videos. Rumors with Rose started before Mavis’ bed photos surfaced though.

  1. Hehehe why do all his rumors these days I involve mainland girls? Hong Kong girls not good enough for him?

    1. @Yee – haven’t u heard of “princess sickness” that all hk girls are diagnose with?

hk girls are going downhill compared to these big-eyed, C cup mainland girls.

      1. Just wondering could you elaborate on this ” princess sickness”? Does that mean hk girls are high-maintenance, expect alot from their boyfriends? o-o

      2. Do you mean the “da xiao jie” type of attiude?? I don’t think it just Hk girls. A lot of girls from all different cultures have this type of attitude, but it varies from case to case…I am guessing maybe there are not a lot of pretty girls in Hk due to the smaller population?? IN Mainland CHina, there is a bigger population and a lot more variety to choose from.

      3. maybe they consider HK girls too rough and Mainland girls more “soft” and mild mannered to them? though debatable from the looks of it. or wait, the mainland girls could be very ambitious and know how to capture their targets better with their planted bombs in their chest. haha, dont stone me.

      4. For all those who are wondering “What exactly is Princess Sickness” – I present you with this:

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geuqYUVerQ0

Though I do find that it’s pretty much universal to all races and could be easily transmitted to the entire group once one is infected with it. Run for the hills if you encounter one!

      5. @Pvt Joker,
Thanks for the youtube link… Yup, that was exactly what I thought it was. It is the “Da Xiao Jie” type of attitude. I am a girl and all but even I cannot stand those kinds of girls so how can guys stand it?? One of my friend’s sister in laws in like that since she is distant relative of the Thai king and acts exactly like that(if not worse). She treats her husband like a servant. I wonder how he can stand it??

      6. Still Hk girls, Mainland girls, they are all chinese girls, so technically they are all the same. Not all HK girls are dai siu jeh’s and not all mainland girls are c-cup girls. I mean HK girls totally started that, I mean the founder of girls that use there boobs for popularty started in HK with Chrissie Chau(this is my opionion, I am young and haven’t been all that in touch with HK entertainment circle for that long…)But what ever kind of girl, they are all different in their only way.

      7. it may be a universal trait but girls in hk definitely share this trait more than any other girls from other cultures.

another common trait in hk girls, “dei jing.” (formerly Charmaine) Whine whine whine. ughh ..

      1. @FanWen

It seems like only girls mind the fake boobs, guys don’t really care.

Big and natural > fake > flat

        that’s how i see it.

    2. Raymond Lam is from the Mainland as well; why can’t he be involved with Mainland girls?

      1. WEll he was born there, but he like grew up in Hong Kong with HK girls, so you’d assume he would be invovled with HK girls, since he is like used to them…and he lives there, his career is there, and he is there most of the time, so I ASSUME, he sees HK girls more often…

  2. Is it just me or does this anchorwoman look similar to Raymond’s sister, albeit better looking? Also Mavis’ also bears a resemblance to Ray’s sister too, with the full lips and face shape?

  3. With the media breathing down his neck right now, I doubt Ray will ever go out or dine alone with a female for now. I’m sure this report is exaggerated. And give him a break please. Her busts aren’t THAT big, okay?

  4. Er but there is a bunch of other people eating as well… what news?

    1. It could be nothing or it could be something, but add in a few more other people to make it look nothing.

    2. Well that’s just how the media works, they take anything and make it in to news, I mean look at this site (which is only translation from others)already has like 20 something comments, in a day. That’s what they media likes, people to react to these things, or else what would they have to eat(think of it in a chinese way).

  5. Could be true. Maybe not a relationship but a sexual one, could be.

  6. I think this news is way over exaggerated.Whenever the public sees a guy and girl alone or hang out on a regular basis alone, they always assume that they are a couple. This is actually normal in the circle and in real life as well, so it is nothing aimed towards Raymond only.

  7. you’ll never know, could be true, not surprised lately. Raymond has been dubbed before as a bonafied player. even his friends(Kenneth and Ron) have hinted it, saying he is the one that has more girls in real life.

    1. I’m not surprised, given that he’s the most popular and wealthiest of the three (four, if we include Bosco).

Player or not, Raymond’s dating life doesn’t really affect how I like him as an entertainer. Besides, I think most actors are ‘players’; some are just luckier/better at hiding it than others.

    2. Yea, but there is also still a possibility that it isn’t true too so we will never know.

  8. Haha, Jayne’s right. This incident has now earned Raymond a reputation of dating women solely for their large busts. Although as far as I can recall, Rain Li isn’t very well-endowed, and neither is Linda (whom Raymond supposedly had a thing for).

I find all of this rather amusing, to be honest.

    1. Raymond dated Rain a way long time ago, over a decade when he did that movie with her, his tastes could’ve changed, he probably thinks he’s upgrading when really, he should stop dating pubescent teens, with their bone-rattling malnourished bodies, looking strange with their inflated racks. dont understand his downgraded tastes.

as for Linda, don’t drag her in this. she’s too good for him now. as a fan that care about her, do not want her associated with this deuce, no offense but the press made up her once liking him, she was just referring to character falling for 6 yrs ago, and that she already pulled out. Linda stated she likes guys who can speak English, not Engwriesh. no offense but dont malign Linda with him.

      1. Well since you are a fan of Linda’s so of course your views on her are more bias. You honestly don’t really know how she is either. Look at Gillian Chung and others, but after the Edison incident… Their image just went down the drain…How would you know that the press made up the fact that Linda once liked him?? ONly she herself would know that. Even if you are a fan of hers, that doesn’t mean that you know everything about her. But that is not important anymore since it is now the past…

      2. Lol…But I don’t think she will base a guy on the fact if he can speak propre english…I thinks she just prefers guys that can speak it, period. Doesn’t matter if it’s english or engwriesh…no offence you make her sound really shallow. But no matter what it is about RAymond Lam, she will get pulled into it. It’s just the way it works, maybe if they never collabroate again in ten years, it could go away.

      3. no, Linda said because is from/raised overseas, her preference is influenced by this, and what’s wrong with liking those like herself? its not shallow, its just common ground. rather her be called that, than have MR FOB as a bf.

Raymond’s fans need to stop using Linda’s name to get in good grace again, it makes it more pathetic.

      4. Raymond studied in University of Southern California before. He should be pretty good in speaking English.

      5. Lol – University of Southern California is infamous for accepting students that have a wealthy background w/o much brains, hence the name University of Spoiled Children.

Speaking English without an accent does not make a person fluent and speaking English with an accent does not make a person not be fluent in English. So someone speaking “Engwriesh” does not mean anything other than they are not linguistically sophisticated as others.

Without knowing Raymond, I’m simply stating, Raymond attending blah blah blah university does not say much other than he attended that university.

      6. Linda said she once liked Steven Ma. Is Steven Ma’s English perfect?

No offense but what make you think Linda is anything higher than Rain or Mavis? Of course you are fan so you are bias, but in general, Rain and Mavis have anything that can lead you to the thinking that date them is downgraded, other than the fact Mavis has hot body? And what make you think he likes/liked Linda? Who know if they really have nothing like they always say? Only they themselves have the true answer.

      7. @ pandamao

What I was trying to say is he attended a university in the US and I assume the medium of communication in the campus would be English. Subjects would be taught in English and assignment and test would be done in English. So, logically, his English should be quite good if he studied there.

      8. @Kidd –

I understand the inference you were trying to draw, but that’s not necessarily the case. I’m not trying to say there may be exceptions but in fact I’m trying to say – it’s quite common to have students enrolled in prestigious universities that do not speak proper English.

This is strictly based on my experience. There’s a large Chinese community in Cali, so it makes me a bit weary on the validity of your statement.

Vancouver, Toronto, Cali cities, NYC – plenty of people can’t speak proper English.

      9. I thought I saw somewhere that Ray did an interview in English before and I think he was quite fluent. It was quite good. I can’t remember where I saw it though.

      10. It’s perfectly possible to survive in the US without speaking much English – and that applies for university students as well. Raymond also spent only a year (or possibly less) at USC. Plus, if it’s your second language, you tend to lose your command of it fairly quickly if you don’t use it on a regular basis.

      11. This makes me interested now to know which young TVB actors can speak english fluently. I know a lot of young TVB actresses can because they came from MCI pageants.

I only know Sammul can speak it fluently. I’ve heard him speak before. Very proper pronunciation. He doesn’t have much accent because he learn the english from school instead of learning it due to staying overseas.

      12. In terms of pronunciation, Raymond is definitely not proficient in the English language. I’ve heard him speak English a couple of times in interviews and he wasn’t very good. Kate Tsui studied in Canada (?) I believe, and her English pronunciation isn’t that great either. The only TVB actors I know who can pronounce English words with ease are Bernice Liu, Jessica Hsuan, and Angela Tong. I’ve never heard Linda Chung or Ella Koon speak English before, but their English is quite good in writing, judging from their blogs.

      13. Linda Chung can speak very well since she is from overseas. So are the ones you mentioned. If they can’t, they must live all their lives in Chinatown or went there just for a few years.

Ray’s English is ok, HK accent.

      14. Honestly, if you like/fall for a person, would the fact that they can speak English or any language that is be that important??? One of my friends refused to be with a guy just because she did not want to be with a non asian guy used the language barrier as an excuse. Sorry, but if you like/love someone then language should not be an issue. I heard that Ning Jing did not know any English, but she married an American actor. He fell in love with her and did not know a word of Chinese at all, but they still got married.

It is true that just because Ray or whomever studied in the US does NOT mean that they can speak proper English. Liu Yi Fei studied and stayed in the US for a number of years but her English is still pretty bad… I had many students who came to the US to study but none of them had decent English… THey would always hang out with people from their culture and speak their own language only. They did not even want to speak English or use it… Therefore, being in an English speaking environment does not imply that you can necessarily speak English well. It depends on the individual and how much they want to learn the language and immerse with the target language, culture and people.

      15. @ HTS

“Honestly, if you like/fall for a person, would the fact that they can speak English or any language that is be that important??? One of my friends refused to be with a guy just because she did not want to be with a non asian guy used the language barrier as an excuse. Sorry, but if you like/love someone then language should not be an issue.

It’s up to the individual. Some people have problem with it, some don’t. There’s no right or wrong here. Some people are more level-headed and don’t let passion overwhelmed them. Despite being in love, they will still think of all the possible difficulties.

There’s no ‘if you like/love someone you should…’

      16. @ HTS

“I did NOT say that there is a right or wrong to this OK. Please stop putting words in my mouth and misinterpreting what I am saying…”

I predict you will say this with the capital letters and you sure did.

You give all kind of judgement on issues e.g. “if you like/love someone then language should not be an issue”. You obviously have your own idea of what is right and wrong, what is should and should not.

Even if you did not state ‘I think my friend is wrong to reject the guy for his race and use language barrier as an excuse’, you obviously disapprove of it. You also obviously think there should not be any problem with language barrier if 2 people are in love.

So, what’s wrong with me saying there’s no wrong and right.

You interpret and misinterpret people’s comment all the time and responded to many of it. But, when I do so, you get all agitated and reply with capital letters. Sigh.

        有你講冇人講

    2. Honestly, there are times when you get the opposite of what you want. For example, I have seen some guys complain about women being chubby and fat. But then I don’t just see them dating them, but marrying them!! Maybe it is karma??? I guess once you are in love, everything else is blind…

      1. @Kidd,
I know that it is up to each individual, but I was just saying that if you do love someone then you should not let something like language get in your way. In my particular friend’s case, she is an FOB so even an asian american would not be compatible with her, but a non asian guy?? no way.. But yea, it is up to each person and once again, I did NOT say that there is a right or wrong to this OK. Please stop putting words in my mouth and misinterpreting what I am saying…

  9. It’s only pictures of him dining with a group of people.

  10. This is obviously untrue. They even reported the wrong dates and he was working in HK on that exact day. I mean even if they wanna fabricate a story, get the facts correct first.

But for sure, every girl that goes near him or takes a picture with him will be his new rumour esp if she’s a little more well-endowed.

    1. What mistake did Raymond make? He’s done nothing wrong. I don’t know why he gets teary over this at all.

I find his sister being poked fun at way more extreme than these measly fully-clothed sleeping photos.

      1. First of all I’m not going to judge him because I’m a big fan of him and still even after what had happen for these few days. But in my opinion, he should not make statement that he is not in a relationship for a long time, as at the same time, he does in relationship. If he does want to expose about his relationship, at least not being in denial either.

      2. *my mistake, what I mean,if he does not want to expose his relationship,at least not being in denial either.

  11. I’m really curious why Raymond is know as ‘King of Chok’. Lots of other stars also pose. Why he’s the king?

    1. Chok means poser? Or sorta like “yeung sui”? or pretentious?

      1. Sulky cool look? Then I can name 1 entertainer who is the king of chok except chok has a negative connotation.

    2. Apparently it’s because he does it much more frequently than all the others. But I agree, I can think of a ton of male stars who have the same ‘chok’ look as Raymond.

  12. What is wrong with people who cannot speak proper English? Everyone has different abilities and if they learn and still cannot speak English fluently, that is perfectly fine. People who said something that they do not like or love someone who cannot speak proper English are very insulting and not respecting.
