Raymond Lam Denies Harassing Ma Aiwun
Mainland singer, Ma Aiwun (馬愛媛), may have gotten a cue from Liu Yuqi (劉羽琦) to generate greater publicity by linking her name to Raymond Lam (林峯). With his reputation once again under fire as a flirtatious player, Raymond strongly dismissed Aiwun’s claims and said that he did not even know who she is.
Ma Aiwun wrote on her blog that she had rejected a “Playboy TV King’s” advances. Although she did not name the actor in her blog entry, it was quickly speculated that she was referring to Raymond Lam, who was bashed by Liu Yuqi with a similar term. Rumors quickly spread that Aiwun had resisted Raymond’s hugs while he was drunk at a bar.
At Metro Radio’s Digital Superstar Voice Music Concert, Raymond stated that he has never heard of Ma Aiwun’s name. Raymond said, “Do not link me to everything. I wish that I am a TV King. I have never heard of this girl’s name before.” Asked whether he had hugged her at a bar, Raymond replied, “I said that I do not know her. Since she referenced a Best Actor, why did the rumors link to me?”
Raymond Supports TVB’s Popular Voting System
TVB recently announced plans to allow popular votes to decide the winners of upcoming awards events, such as the Hong Kong Music Awards and TVB Anniversary Awards. Asked if the “one person, one vote” system gave him confidence that he will once again win music awards, Raymond stated that each singer has his own supporters.
“Awards are not the most important. If there are fans supporting me, then I am already happy. I am more worried about TVB’s servers than the awards. Through the errors this time, hopefully we can learn to correct them,” Raymond said.
Raymond said that he supported the popular voting system, as it was the most simple and direct way for fans to support their idols.
