Raymond Lam Forgoes Money to Spend Time with Family
Due to his increasing popularity, Raymond Lam Fung has been extremely busy for the last several years. He has been unable to celebrate the Lunar New Year holiday with his family for several years. This year, Raymond abandoned money-making opportunities by taking a short holiday during the Lunar New Year holiday to spend time with his family. He even intends to prepare some glutinous rice balls especially for his parents!
After working extremely hard for a period of time, Raymond felt the need to cherish his family more. “I declined all job offers since Lunar New Year’s Eve. I passed on the opportunity to make money and gave all my holiday time to my family. Holidays are best spent with family. I really wanted to spend Lunar New Year with my family this year.”
During the Lunar New Year, Raymond loved eating the chive cakes prepared by his father. As a filial son, Raymond will be preparing glutinous rice balls for his parents. “When I was a child, I helped my family make rice balls. But it is the first time I am preparing them by myself.”
Raymond had satisfactory results in the television, music, and film industries in the past year. Following his first home ownership in Hong Kong last year, Raymond intends to invest in properties in his hometown of Xiamen, China. “Over the past few years, there have been many good developments. Returning to Xiamen earlier, the environment was quite stunning. I will ask my father to look out for some investment properties for me.”

Jayne: Lunar New Year is my favorite holiday of the year. Holidays are indeed more meaningful when we spend them with family. Sounds like Raymond Lam will have a wonderful New Year!

It’s still kind of hard to believe that artistes would choose the money-making opportunities more than spending time with family. Money is so important to them 😮 because all that I always hear in the news is that artistes are soo busy that they don’t have time to rest and stuff. but i’m glad that most artistes are finally realizing that health and spending time with loved ones is most important.
Well, Raymond’s family is already really rich so it’s not like he entered the circle for money only. I think he partially entered out of interest too. ALso, you need to work hard and be professional as well not just for money. Anyways, in Raymond’s case he can afford to let go of these money making opportunities, while sadly a lot of other struggling stars can’t. But I am glad that he choose to spend more time with his family and rest. I think he realizes that health and family are more important than money.
You shouldn’t say that… he doesn’t depend on his family, so it shouldn’t matter if his family is rich or not. That’s why there are so many rumours of him in the past that he is not serious towards his acting career because he is from a rich family. I don’t think Raymond will like people to think of him like that. Doesn’t matter now, he has proven that is a hardworking.

Well, I did not mean to say that in a bad way, but what I meant is that he is not screwed over and in financial trouble if he didn’t join the circle. I did not mean to say that he doesn’t work hard because I know he does…However, he isn’t required or obligated to support his family like many other artists do. He doesn’t need to depend on his family so therefore doesn’t need to support them either. A number of artists need to work non stop in order to have money to literally pay their bills and basic living expenses. I am sure that Raymond is way past that but of course it is because of his hard work. However, IF he weren’t successful, he still has his family as back up while a lot of others don’t.
Based on these pictures, the plastic surgery on the nose seems like a rumor only.

I think Raymond did admit he had a nose job in the past, because of some nose issues (relating to health)… I heard it from somewhere before.
Raymond already had very good results in all the fields that went into because he’s very talented. It’s time to take a little rest with family before he work hard again. Poor guy is overworked.
There is an inky dark spot right between his eye and the nasal bridge of his nose. What is that? Perhaps Raymond works so much because he’s just a workaholic by nature? It happens when you love your field.
I wonder who did his make up and clothes? Also, who did his brows? Seriously, each time I see his pictures he looks more like a girl now.
As for his clothes both in concert and in this pictures look so terrible…I guess it might be Asian look.
He had a surgery because of sinusitis. His dad & bro also has this problem.

Ray said it himself that he went for surgery for sinusitis. He added that he finds these rumours hilarious cos he doesn’t even like going for facials, not to mention plastic surgery. I must be one of the minority who doesn’t feel that there is any difference in his nose then & now. It looks the same to me. Obviously with age, the overall look wld change & he wld lose some baby fat, thus the difference in the Overall look.
Maybe Raymond went to surgery for his sinusitis and beautify his nose at the same time. 😛

That’s great for him to get a holiday. I for one believe that every artistes deserve a break between filming to give space between their work.

Well TVB did have some acting classes back in the days, however, that is now history I guess. I think that is why we have all of these untalented MS.Hks that just get thrown onto the screen with no talent whatsoever.
Everyone has to start from somewhere so I won’t punish a newbie based on only the first performance. Given the right direction and path even the most wooden Ms HK vaseflower can bloom into a mesmerizing TV or Film Queen. However it’s more towards TVB’s method of ‘short term revenue maximization’ instead of ‘long term artiste and company growth’.
In short TVB nowadays doesn’t know how to grow their artistes into well bloomed actors and actresses but instead marketed the flavor of the month extensively until the audience gets sick of him/her; and TVB then quickly find another flavor of the next month so that their company revenue can keep up at a positive rate.
A bit of topic… but is Raymond wearing full makeup?? It definitely looks like he has foundation, lip tint/lipstick, and maybe even eye makeup and that black smudge near his eye could be from the makeup. Just the fact that he’d wear so much makeup is quite unappealing… not manly at all!

Just an additional pc of info, even his makeup artist of many yrs spoke up for him saying why is the media so sure ray had surgery when even he who touches ray’s face daily isn’t even aware of it. To Ray & his team, it’s an internal joke!
Plastic surgery can enhance your looks, not do mircles if you don’t have the basis for the “perfect” feature. Look at Michael Jackson, did he have plastic surgery on his nose (or whole face for that matter)? And is it perfect?
I’ll bet Raymond Lam and his team are laughing at the internal joke. That he can have multiple surgeries on his face but there’d still be people gullible enough to believe that he didn’t do anything to it. Yeah and I agree it isn’t even anything great. Nothing against the guy, but it is quite insulting that he thinks the audience is that stupid.
