Raymond Lam Holds Online Concert to Promote New Songs

Raymond Lam (林峯) has had many representative works over the span of his acting and music career. Signing with Warner Music earlier this month, Raymond is said to be pushed to become the label’s next top male singer in Hong Kong. To showcase his new music, the 41-year-old held an online concert on July 28.

Aside from acting, Raymond has always been passionate about singing and eager to make his mark in the music industry. Known for his ability to carry ballads, some of Raymond’s past classic songs include “Love is Not Enough” <愛不疚> and “Until You Don’t Look for Me” < 直到你不找我>.

Under Warner Music, his new single “The Voice of Love” <唱情歌的人> was released in July at the same time as his signing with the company was announced. The song is dedicated to his fans who have been patiently waiting for his return.

He had reached out to frequent collaborator music producer Schumann Lee (舒文), composer Terence Lam (林家謙), and lyricist Cheung Cho Kiu (張楚翹) to tailor a song especially for him. Evoking emotion through its melody and lyrics, “The Voice of Love” is a song that can be replayed many times. Despite the challenge of its frequent key changes, Raymond loves the song and hopes that fans will resonate with its lyrics.

  1. Until You Don’t Look for Me is one of my favourite songs by him so that was nice to see him perform that. But I think it might be a little too late to make a mark in the industry? I don’t know much about HK music industry but I feel like his prime has past for music?

  2. still very chok at 41, lol. quite a contrast from his hey days in terms of looks but he sounds the same

  3. He’s definitely older looking which is totally normal but yeah his voice is still the same. But I doubt he can be pushed to the top, or even top 5 of HK now. So many male singers with huge fan base in HK these past couple years. Terence Lam, Mirror solos, Hubert Wu, and plus Hins Cheung comeback this year. Very competitive.

    1. i won’t exactly say hk is competitive. there isn’t anyone really. there needs to be more new blood and mirror is the closest they have.

      1. Not competitive with other regions obviously, but there’s definitely more artists gaining traction locally.
