“Record of Youth” Premieres with Record Breaking Ratings

While Hallyu star Park Bo Gum officially started his mandatory military service at the end of August, he can be seen in currently airing drama, Record of Youth. Fans poured in to support Park Bo Gum’s newest drama, pushing ratings to all-time highs for its initial episode.

Premiering yesterday, Record of Youth set a record breaking viewership rating of 6.4 percent for TvN station’s Monday/Tuesday timeslot. It was a big accomplishment for the drama, as it surpassed the premiere ratings of other popular dramas such as It’s Okay to Not be Okay and Crash Landing on You.

Record of Youth is a coming of age drama about young adults who are chasing after their dreams and love while fighting the setbacks inherent in the harsh reality of life. The drama stars Park Bo Gum as an ambitious man aiming to be a top model and actor and Park So Dam as a struggling make-up artist  trying to find her breakthrough. As viewers follow through the character’s journeys, viewers will be inspired by their sincerity and perseverance.
