Due to mainland model and actress, Viann Zhang’s (張馨予) sexy image and romance with Ron Ng (吳卓羲), her popularity continued to rise in mainland China and Hong Kong. Aside from regular appearances in male interest magazines, Viann’s perfect features and curvaceous figure have even prompted unscrupulous sexual service providers in mainland China to use her image in advertisements!

The unauthorized use of popular celebrity images to advertise for vendor services was a common practice in mainland China. As reported by Oriental Daily, Viann’s manager stated, “Yesterday, we discovered that Viann’s image was used in a beauty advertisement. It is very difficult for us to pursue the responsible parties.” Regarding the discovery that sexual service providers had printed Viann’s image on their business cards to distribute to customers, Viann’s manager stated that they will definitely pursue legal action.

Seen in recent films such as If You Are The One 2 < 非誠勿擾>, I Love Hong Kong 2 <2012我愛 HK喜上加囍>, Viann continued to partake in numerous filming productions. In the upcoming historical drama, Loyalty of Yue Fei <精忠岳飞>Viann portrayed the role of Liang Hongyu, which required numerous horseback riding scenes. Despite the glorious battle armor donned for the role, Viann revealed that the costume weighed 30 kilos and gave her back pain each time she wore the costume.

Aside from featuring Viann in Loyalty of Yue Fei, Director Stanley Tong (唐季礼), appeared to be captivated by her looks and acting skills. Viann revealed that Stanley offered to sign her for five filming projects, promising that the projects will be high quality, while featuring her in lead roles!

Jayne: I can see Viann as a rising actress based purely on her looks and figure. I saw her in “If You Are the One 2,” but her screen time was limited thus difficult to gauge her acting skills.

  1. She also had a brief role in Flying Swords of Dragon Gate as Consort Man. I thought she was Isabella Leong for the longest time!

    1. tea service or modeling, lol

      Viann is bigger than Ron.

Sure that this model have your attention than Ron Wong Dong

  2. This isn’t as uncommon as one might think. There is a court case in the United States right now over a firm using the photo of a dead marine in one of their online dating sites. Apparently the image was just taken off the net and used.

Hopefully Viann will seek recourse to have her name removed from the questionable adverts.

  3. Can’t blame the person who used her for their advertisement.

  4. I think she has better acting than Ron. Her emotions showed in Flying Swords of Dragon Gate as Man Fei is very real.

  5. She looks really cute up there. Despite her well crafted image, I am sure no celebrity cares for being misrepresented in ads–no money in that, haha.

    1. One can’t deny that she has a strong “事業線”

    2. I bet that is also a result of photoshop as well.

  6. Wow. Seems like Viann’s career has been going very well.

    1. i think her career is so good now and she will get more expose in the States soon when HBO airs “Yue Fei” next year

    2. lolol yeah, you know you’ve made it when people start using your face illegally haha

    3. Yah, Stanley Kwan is captivated by her… doesn’t that say something…

Yah, I know us girls cringe when she is mentioned as she is made of plastic.

But to be fair lah, her fake face really very sweet and pretty like a doll. Her silicon figure also very sexy and voluptuous, like every man’s dream girl. She looks like Cecilia, only with a sexier body.

Manufactured star. Come on, if you have money or potential to make money like her by charming men, you make yourself as beautiful as her too and be a movie star.

      1. Stanley Kwan is a guy and I know guys who love hotties like Viann. lol They wouldn’t care about plastic surgery or wild pasts, only women dig those deeply. Unless Stanley Kwan is gay.

      2. @LOL, Stanley Kwan is gay (he came out of closet long time ago). I like his movies.

The director in this article is Stanley Tong, not Kwan.

      3. @ sehseh.

Haha, when I first read the director’s name, I was like ‘Whoa, Viann can even captivate a gay man. That’s quite an achievement! But then, I read the chinese name and it’s Stanley Tong. :p

I like Stanley Tong’s work too. I love his ‘Lan Yu’. ‘Rouge’ is also good.

      4. Hey, all of her plastic surgery really paid off then…

      5. @HTS, yeah fortunately for her it paid off even though she will prolly look worse in the future.

I wonder how many failed transformations we never hear about?

  7. Apart from her rosing career, she looks so much like a Mannequin up there…

I wonder if she needs to visit her surgeon frequently for maintenance?

      1. I dont think u get what i meant there, who doesnt know that most artis pics has been photoshopped? I myself often use photoshop to do design lol. i was just trying to say that Viann has transformed herself to a hard to believe plastic mannequin which eventually doesnt look like a normal human and the maintenance part was to joke about her frequent visit to keep that plastic look. I cant type much now since im using mobile to chat.

      2. Yeah, since it is retouched, you can’t judge her look by it. Not most artists pix are retouched by photoshop but the ones for magazines. The ones taken by fans or random in the events are not :). If you are basing on the photoshoped pix to judge the look you will have a false impression.

      3. lol, I don’t think I’ve false impression towards Viann even if this pic has been photoshopped. I’m sure she’s looks almost the same as in the pic with that expensive maintenance/ps of hers.

She still gives me a fake impression no matter how perfect her pics have been altered/photoshopped so it make no different lol.

      4. Then you are judging Viann not based on the above pic but your own prior opinions about Viann?

      5. I agree with Veejay because even in other photos of her, she looks about the same since I bet she constantly manages and maintains her fake plastic looks. That is one of the big downsides of being fake because you always have to have a lot of money to maintain it. If not, then I wonder if you will even be presentable.

      6. Prior opinions or pic = same answer = FAKE kekek.

HTS, thanks for agreeing and yeah she needs to maintain that plastic look of hers so she can keep both Ron and her sexy jobs plentiful hehehe.

      7. Too bad tat she is an arising name now :P. You see, she even can attract Stanley Tong :P. Compare her to Gan Lu Lu or Liu Yam, she is more successful than any hot girls. Soon, her fame can get over Ron in China. It is predictable.

  8. For someone who shows ZERO emotion when taking model shots, and she is a pretty bad model at that, I doubt she has the skills to show any emotion on any range for more than 1 minute, more so a 2 hour film or a 20 episodes series.

    1. Funn,

Can’t blame her for showing no emotion, I bet all her tissue and cell are too dead to even move because of her major alteration.

      1. Zombie must be ugly. She will sooner play a mannequin than be ugly! Yeah yeah she can be errrr… living doll? Like some twilight zone episode? Frankly she is a terrible model.

      2. Sorry for being blunt, I think in a guy’s view, they don’t care whether she’s a bad model or not because that’s not the thing they see in Viann. They only view her as someone who carry the sex symbol “model” or whatsoever woman.

      3. I think she is a good actress and her emotions showed quite well in the recent movies she is in. So I guess you should watch her first.

      4. LOL, she is still moving well enough to to be classified as a zombie. She is more like a vampire that need to “drink” blood i.e. constant maintenance to keep her appearance.

      5. Vampires drink blood to keep themselve alive, don’t they? They don’t drink blood to maintain the look but for their life.

      6. Someone needs to read Anna Rice instead of Twillight.

Who knows perhaps she view her looks more important than life itself.

      7. Interview with a vampire? Oh I think this movie is too stupid :P. Of course, Twilight is in the list of must-not-read to me :). The vampires are not owned by either Anne Rice nor Stephen Meyers but they describers vampires in their own imagination. BTW, in the oldest tales about vampires, they drink blood for their life, not the beauty. Being vampire and live as a vampire, they already maintain their look forever. You should find some more books to read before sleeping. Taking Anne Rice or Stephen Meyers’ vampires as the rule/statue is too narrow and just teen fans’ action :P.

        Keyword to you: Who know.

      8. Read the novel and the movie is not stupid.

You said it yourself that noone owns the “vampire” rights and it’s all about imagination. Therefore there are no right or wrong. You are the one being old fashioned here insisting that vampires needs to drink blood in order to survive.

      9. ‘Interview With A Vampire’ is classic. Both book and movie. In fact, ‘Interview’ is one of my all time favourite movie.

      10. So you believe in Twilight :P, exoidus?

I still don’t like Interview with a vampire. BTW, I like the idea in The Librarian III: The Curse of the Judas Chalice tat Judas is the first vampire. Sound quite reasonable.

      11. That idea is old. Reasonable, yeah if you are Christian otherwise it’s just lame

      12. @Kidd, re: Interview with a Vampire. Maybe because I read the book first and totally absorbed by it. However, I found the movie itself quite disappointing and boring, and Tom totally miscast.

      13. To inform, I’m a free-thinker. That idea comes from an old movie, of course it is old, lol. I said tat the explanation for this idea came from the movie is quite reasonable.

      14. @ claimine

I watch the movie first. Maybe that’s why I found it good. I think Tom Cruise make a good Lestat. I found him captivating. In the movie, I like Lestat better, but, in the book, I actually like Louis more.

      15. Since when the topic of zombie has turned into some vampire topic? lol.

      16. Yeah, I too think Tom did great as Lestat, however the movie can’t be compared to the novels. Too bad the later ones weren’t near as good as IWTW and TVL.

  9. “Aside from featuring Viann in Loyalty of Yue Fei, Director Stanley Kwan (唐季礼), appeared to be captivated by her looks and acting skills.”

Jayne, I think you translate the director’s name wrongly. It should be Stanley Tong.

  10. I find the whole dolled up asian “i wanna look western” look vulgar and cringe inducing. It’s like, yeah you tried your best with the makeup, but you look 10 times worse off.

  11. Although she is plastic product, she IS hot. Either her surgeon is really good or she knew how far she can go with plastic but still looking hot without too much protruding organs somewhere.

  12. hahaha i know even if she is plastic she is looking HOT up there. lets face it if ron ng likes her its not hard to tell…i mean men likes big boobs period haha…ok if not 100% i would still say 90% go for the boobs hahaa LOL..

  13. Yeah ! She looks so perfect and hot, very rare a person can be that perfect lol!

    1. It’s not rare in mainland. Many new mainland actresses are starting to look like her

    2. I think it is sad that everyone wants to transform into a live plastic doll. The plastic doll look just gets too common that everyone will know that anyone who looks like that is fake. It is better to be yourself because if you don’t look as good, your looks are more unique.

      1. I think Fan Bing Bing did some minor things, but not that much since was naturally pretty already. I saw childhood pix of her and she looks almost the same…

      2. To say Fan Bing Bing has some minor plastic surgeries is too exaggerated :).

  14. if everyone stopped looking at artificial beauty then maybe less people would be going under the knife. these days i dont know which artistes are natural beauty anymore, everyone seems to have gone under the knife for a total make-over!

  15. She’s pretty either way, plastic or not plastic.

    1. At least her knife work got her good results whether in her pretty and hot looks and her career 😀

  16. It’s hard to judge her acting from I Love HK 2012 due to the material…But I thought she looks pretty..albeit “doll-lish” pretty.
