Wong Cho Lam and Leanne Li’s Fairytale Wedding Invitations

After their loving wedding ceremony at church on Valentine’s Day, Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍) and Leanne Li (李亞男) will continue to celebrate their marriage in a banquet at Hong Kong Disneyland tomorrow. The couple adhered to the fairytale theme, and sent out prince and princess wedding invitations to their guests earlier.

The wedding will revolve around the theme of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Inside the invitation, were the words: “Once upon a time… There was a prince and a princess. They married and lived happily ever after.”

Cho Lam allegedly spent over a year’s worth of his income to deliver a dream wedding for Leanne. The couple traveled to the Maldives to take their wedding photos earlier. Due to the couple’s many friends at church, they invited nearly 500 guests to their Disneyland banquet. They will follow with a three-week vacation in Europe.

“Many friends helped to us get discounts for the wedding dress, jewelry, food, and venue. The media can help themselves to a buffet meal, cookies, ice cream, and bird’s nest [tomorrow].” However, Cho Lam said that he paid for the costs himself and did not obtain any commercial sponsors for his wedding.

The couple’s church friends, Ada Choi (蔡少芬) and husband Max Zhang (張晉), are especially enthusiastic about the upcoming wedding banquet. Although Ada joked about the prince’s short height, the couple eagerly look forward to the tomorrow’s celebration. Max said, “Fairy tales do exist. Happiness to you both!”

  1. Why do people find the need to spend sooooooooooo much money on a wedding? The wedding industry must be laughing their way to the bank.

      1. Is it me but for a Christian, Leanne’s dresses are rather revealing especially compared to the dull and nun-like dresses of the bridesmaids…

      2. it’s not just you, natalie. i had the same impression initially too. i thought she would be wearing long sleeves with a more modest neckline.

      3. ps. i was referring to her backless wedding dress at the actual church ceremony, not the one above.

      4. I find it sad that Cho Lam has to spend so much money just to please Leanne’s parents. Luckily,my parents do not require so much money or anything since they expect me to make my own dough because you never know if your marriage will last a lifetime or not.

      5. Totally agree…since the couple are Christians…I would have expected a more romantic and modest gown…this gown looks more like a piece of lingerie.

    1. I agree and do not understand why people feel the need to spend their life savings on their wedding? Honestly if they knew for sure it was only once in a lifetime, then I can sort of understand but sadly these days most people get married several times in their lives. It is great to have a good day of wonderful memories but you can still keep it simple and spend less money because an expensive wedding does not guarantee a lifetime of happiness.

      1. Nothing is guaranteed in life, we should just throw in the towel and call it a day.

    2. you are right!
the companies which handled this couple’s wedding is really laughing all the way to the bank…spending so much on a banquet, Maldives photo shoot and extras.

    3. It’s usually d chinese. When u r rich then it’s really ok for them
