Michael Tse Drowned by Beautiful Women in “Friendly Fire”

If you think that Damian Lau (劉松仁) was lucky to have been constantly surrounded by five beautiful and sexy women for Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles <名媛望族>, Friendly Fire’s <法網狙擊> Michael Tse (謝天華) is definitely just as lucky, if not more!

Upcoming legal drama, Friendly Fire, stars Michael Tse as the charming prosecuting attorney “JJ Kam” who, like Damian Lau’s “Sir Arthur Chung” in Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles, is completely drowned by beautiful women all around his life. Aside from Friendly Fire’s leading lady, Sharon Chan (陳敏之), almost every other female character in the story will have some kind of relationship with Michael.

These “Michael ladies” include 2010 Miss Hong Kong winner Toby Chan (陳庭欣), who will share many intimate scenes with Michael in the first episode. Friendly Fire’s other leading lady, Tavia Yeung (楊怡) plays Michael’s main love interest, and the couple will have many kissing scenes throughout the drama.

Michael will also share many intimate scenes with goddess Christine Kuo (苟芸慧), another of Michael’s many girlfriends in the drama. While filming Christine and Michael’s infamous “car-shaking” seduction scene earlier this year, the paparazzi erroneously reported the scene to be real. The reports damaged Christine’s image to a significant extent, and the actress also had a mental breakdown in front of the press.

“Maybe it’s because she just debuted, and the incident just completely overwhelmed her,” said Michael, referring to Christine’s breakdown over the car-shaking rumor. “I had a chat with Christine about the incident. You need to be very serious when you are acting, but when it comes to rumors like those, don’t take it so seriously. This incident was a good lesson for her. Hopefully, it will help to better adapt to similar contingencies in the future.”

When asked about his thoughts for sharing so many intimate scenes with his female costars, Michael laughed, “We are just following the script! I am very proud of myself for being able to remain so calm in front of so many beautiful women!”

Michael then added with a sigh, “It was still a very tiring process to go through. Christine is a Miss Chinese International winner, Toby is a Miss Hong Kong winner, and Tavia is a leading fadan. They all have their own distinctive style and talents. It was a lot of pressure for me to film with them! Do you know how small the inside of a car is? To have Toby literally on top of me was very suffocating! After the scene was completed, I was too tired to move, and I was sweating a lot.”

Was his wife there to supervise the scene? Michael laughed, “It’s not my wife’s style. Once the drama is released, she will be able to see it!”

  1. i would be so jealous if i were his wife. His wife definitely is a great lady.

  2. i just really dont like his acting. it’s not even good. i dont get why he gets to be in so many siries lol

    1. Series*. To each their own opinion, but his acting is pretty good, compared to a lot of other people. You need to watch more of his series to understand his “acting”.

  3. Lol… haha love michael’s comment on how tiring it was to film with the women.. haha

    1. I love his wry sense of humor. It’s a dirty job but someone’s got to do it!

It’s like when Kenneth got to kiss a bunch of girls in MOL. But unlike ken, Laughing knows how to enjoy himself and can portray a convincing player.

  4. Samantha Ko is also in this series. I read the character profile of her character. an interesting and likable character. Her character is a bit like the legally blonde lawyer that everyone underestimates because of her look. But, she prove to have more than look.

I’m also interested to see how Toby Chan fairs in her first significant role. Many people criticised her for being a pork chop, but, I recently saw her in ‘Crazy For History’, and I find her pretty.

  5. Just finish tis how first episode. Micheal and Tavia so sweet and their chemistry drove me into wonderland. Love their interaction so much.

  6. The first episode was amazing. Tavia and Michael were great! I was pleasantly surprised by Sam’s performance too.

  7. I am watching this series now and at ep 2 it is intriguing and interesting. But I can’t help but feel like too much legal drama and so familiar, like dejavu. Like The Other Truth meets Ghetto Justice. Tavia is ok, Michael is OK but I feel maybe different actress will be nice because I have been seeing too much of Tavia in the same role.

The worst aspect was the one english word per sentence just to show how learned and educated they are. That was pretentious and unnecessary and almost laughable.

    1. And is Mandy Wong’s role suppose to be like a pun from L’escargot?
