Chilam Cheung (張智霖) attended a recent a promotional event for a bank looking much thinner.  Currently preparing for his summer concert series Chilam Crazy Hours Live, which will be held at the Hong Kong Coliseum from July 6 to 8, Chilam said he has been training his body so he can be in top-notch shape for the concert. He revealed that he has already lost a jaw-dropping 20 pounds. As his goal has been reached, he will not try to lose any more weight, but will still maintain a healthy diet.

As the endorser for the bank’s new credit card, Chilam happily said that he is satisfied with his appearance fees. He also said that he has managed to learn a few tips about managing money from bank associates and accountants.

Chilam and wife, actress Anita Yuen (袁詠儀), has been married for over ten years. Asked if his wife is in charge of managing their family’s finances, Chilam said that they both keep their financial assets separate, but the separation is not clear-cut.

After his concert, Chilam will begin filming the Hong Kong romantic comedy film Billionaire Demon Falls in Love with Me <千億惡魔愛上我>, an adaptation of the 1990 film Pretty Woman starring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. In the film, Chilam will portray a wealthy Casanova who falls in love with an ordinary Mongkok girl, portrayed by Chrissie Chau (周秀娜). Originally set to begin production around July, the filming was pushed back so Chilam could have enough time to rest after completing his concert.

  1. I remember in an interview anita said “what hers is hers and what his is hers” LOL

    1. Really? If so,that is so not right. It is like saying,I can take from him but he cannot take from me. If I were a guy,I would not want such a person for a wife.

      1. Strange bcuz, that’s a common line I heard myself during my cousin’s wedding. The groom pledged that what’s hers remains hers and what’s his is hers…

      2. I think it’s a joke. At least I hope so anyway :-p

  2. these couples are so rich that they have super-cars, bentley and mercedez etc….and when chilam lost bet to his wife, he has to buy her that jewel as reward while posting it on weibo

    1. ITA! When I see Chilam’s arrogant face I always think of his sarcastic comment at the tvb awards and his wife pretending to thank everyone for his loss which enabled her to win her bet with him. So fake!

  3. It’s better this way. People should keep their own money. You always hear about crazy divorce settlements. Why should you give 50% to the other during a divorce. That’s ridiculous.

  4. hi there

    1. honest, I just cannot stand that piece of mouther, anita, loud and coarse.

  5. Yes, I support independent finances, when you’re happily married then everything will be okay. But when things turned out badly and you’re heading for a divorce it’s just a lot of hassle.

  6. That’s not quite fair, and it will be interesting to know who’s saying this.

Anita also seems to be someone who rules her nest with an iron fist. Kind of like Joan Ling Fong-chiao (and JC).

    So I remain somewhat skeptical.
IF they maintain seperate finances … then what does Anita have to live on these days by staying home full time, while gets to buy his new toys (cars)?

    1. they can have separate finances and chi lam pays for the monthly expenses. Therefore Anita can live off her own savings. I think she has ton of money.

  7. He needs to stop losing weight. He’s bone and skin already
