Lawrence Ng Films “Super Trio Maximus”

Lawrence Ng (吳啟華) participated in the filming of game show Super Trio Maximus <超級無敵獎門人終極篇> on October 21 along with Tracy Chu (朱千雪) to promote their upcoming anniversary series The Hippocratic Crush 2 <On Call 36小時 II>.

Playing against the cast of Inbound Troubles <老表，你好嘢!>, Lawrence and Tracy navigated through several rounds of hilarity, making funny poses during one segment. Portraying a couple in their anticipated medical drama, Lawrence and Tracy put their chemistry to the test, hoping to convince viewers of their on-screen compatibility.

With the first episode of The Hippocratic Crush 2 airing in less than two weeks, the cast is busy preparing for the upcoming promotions. Lawrence revealed yesterday that he may be unable to attend as he will be filming in Inner Mongolia. Addressing the current TV broadcast license controversy, Lawrence suggested that Hong Kong’s television industry will likely move towards a new business model. “I think it will become like Mainland. There will no longer be any long contracts, and everyone is free to [work with any station]…”. Currently on TVB’s payroll, Lawrence admitted that while he is open to filming elsewhere, he would always give priority to his maternal station.

Tracy, a first-time actress, is excited about her series’ debut but is also worried about public criticism. A popular contestant during 2012’s Miss Hong Kong pageant, Tracy has been heavily promoted by TVB. She began hosting prime time variety shows while still fulfilling her Miss Hong Kong duties, and quickly won a supporting role in a major drama opposite far more experienced actors. Despite the immense pressure, Tracy maintains a positive attitude and is looking forward to the learning opportunities. “I have done all that I can. What’s left is to watch it together with the audience, which is more nerve-wracking than making the drama!”
