Jay Chou Taking Extreme Precautions from Wuhan Coronavirus?
Is this really Jay Chou (周杰倫) isolating himself?
A viral video featuring a man dressed in a stage outfit was seen being wheeled out of the airport in a see-through ventilated box. He was being escorted out of the airport by airport security. Though the man was wearing a surgical mask, his profile resembled Jay Chou.
The video was shot at the Fuzhou Changle International Airport. According to reports, Jay Chou was scheduled to make an appearance in Fuzhou that day for an event.
Several cities in the central Chinese province of Hubei, including the originating city of Wuhan, are currently quarantined due to the outbreak of the Wuhan coronavirus, a SARS-like virus that attacks one’s respiratory system. Since December, the virus has infected several hundred people with 26 reported deaths.
Although the infected are mainly contained in Hubei, the virus did spread to other provinces and countries. Many cities and territories beyond China—including Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan—are encouraging citizens to take extra precautions when leaving their home, such as wearing a surgical mask.
The viral video received mixed criticism from netizens, most criticizing Jay Chou for his unnecessary, over-the-top precautions, but his fans were quick to defend their idol, explaining that Jay Chou is currently in Australia.
There are also other sources claiming that the man in the video was not Jay Chou, but a suspected coronavirus patient being escorted to the hospital.

Even if it is him, i see no reason to bash him for the precautions he’s taking. He could choose to cancel the event but maybe he decided to go ahead and take precautions for prevention. He has a family who needs him safe and healthy like all of us.
If we can afford to do so, i’m very sure we would do the same. We may not fear death and illness for our own sake but it’s the fear of exposing our family to the dangers we may bring to them.
If anyone is willing to get into that thing, they would wear a ski mask so they’re beyond recognizable. His assistant shouldn’t have let him get into that, of course people will talk!
Isn’t that a quarantine box? Rather than being afraid of getting infected, those are for people who are suspected to have it and are for quarantining them off from the rest of the population. Lol, talk about people jumping the gun. And I bet it wasn’t even Jay Chou either. Unless guy is a wizard rather than a magician and can be at two places at once.
