Eliza Sam Talks About Being a New Mom

Thirty-four-year-old Eliza Sam (岑麗香) gave birth to her son Jacob in March and has been busy with motherhood since. Since giving birth, she made her first official work appearance yesterday as a promotional event guest. She seemed to be in great shape as if she had never given birth at all!

Eliza said, “I want to lose a few more pounds. I can now button the last button of my jeans but it is a bit tight. After resting for two months, I’m ready to return to work! I was so happy today sitting at the makeup table, I feel re-energized!”

Eliza had chosen to give birth naturally and luckily the process was very smooth, “I went to the hospital at 10 a.m., had contractions at 3 p.m. By 7 p.m., I had given birth and there was no time to get an epidural!” When asked if she plans on giving Jacob a sibling, she said that it is definitely a plan for the future.

She disclosed that Jacob’s Chinese name, Ng Chu Hin (吳主軒) was given by her grandparents and means “to have God in your heart”.

Jacob has been very well-behaved so far and she has split childcare tasks with her husband. “My husband is a pro at changing diapers, and my son is very polite! He treats everyone to a cup of tea!,” the actress joked that Jacob urinates while having his diaper changed.

Good friends Leanne Li (李亞男) and Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) have already visited Jacob. Eliza joked that she is afraid that after seeing too many beautiful women, her son will have unrealistic expectations for his future partner.
