Jackie Chan Will Leave All His Money to Son

Possessing a net worth of over 9.8 billion RMB, Jackie Chan (成龍) previously declared that he will donate all his assets to charity. Jackie had stated that he will not leave a single dime for his son, Jaycee Chan (房祖名), as he hoped Jaycee would depend on himself to make a livelihood.

After Jaycee’s release from prison in February, Jackie was full of praises towards his son and stressed that Jaycee has changed for the better. The father and son’s relationship improved drastically following the ordeal. Jackie has also changed his mind regarding his will.

“If I don’t leave my assets to Jaycee, whom will I leave it to? Everything will be given to him. He is my son and I am his father. This will not change.”

Frequently considered the “Big Brother” in the entertainment industry, Jackie truthfully admitted that work was his priority and his family came in secondary. Although many frowned upon his values, Jackie expressed that if he had not placed such emphasis on his work, he would not be enjoying his current success. He added, “I am not living [my life] only for [my wife and son].”

Joan Lin (林鳳嬌) has been a very supportive wife, single-handedly raising Jaycee while Jackie focused on his career in the last 30 years. Jackie smiled and said, “She can stand me. If not, we would have split up early on. I don’t even remember her or my son’s birthdays. She was upset at me before, but I told her that I don’t even remember my own parents’ birthdays. She stopped being angry then.”

Currently 60 years old, Jackie has no intentions of retiring. Stating that many of his colleagues’ livelihoods depend on his company, Jackie still places work as his priority. When asked whether he has any regrets in life, Jackie confidently said, “Absolutely not. With my family reunited, my son having his mother to look after him, my films being box office successes, my company being stable, I have nothing more to ask for.”

  1. I thought he is not leaving a cent for his son? Now he will? Maybe he should. If not Jaycee will resort back to “farming”.

    1. Funn,
Jackie seems to have mellowed after Jaycee’s imprisonment. He openly admitted he failed as a father and vows to spend more time together. Perhaps he has realized he was responsible for putting distance between his son and himself and leaving Jaycee money is to amend for his mistakes.

      1. Its good he is leaving his vast fortune to jaycee even if jackie is not dying for at least another twenty years. However i wonder how good is substituting affection with money? Maybe all jaycee wants is his father to know his age and listen. In fact did anyone ask jackie his sons birth date?

  2. Haha ten bucks says he told him that to keep him on a straight path, and when he dies, it all gets left to charity except for a tiny stipend for his wife.

What kid wouldn’t act like a saint knowing that doing so would net him millions. Its only a matter of time before he gets killed by some on-set accident at his age.

    Money changes everything.

  3. Well, I guess something positive came out of this whole drug issue after all. After his prison term, Jaycee learned some humility and became a better person. And it seems like Jackie and Jaycee’s father and son relationship have been healed.

  4. No regrets in his life? What about the infidelity and having fathered a child out o wedlock? What about denying the child is his? Being an irresponsible father? Jackie Chan is full of regrets in his lifetime. Hypocrite!!!

    1. What you pOinted out are conduct but not remorse which is feeling. Maybe he really doesnt have regrets.

    1. Maybe Your Just Jealous of Jackie!

People who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones!

All Saints have a past, all Sinners have a future!

    2. Totally agree! I said the exact same comment in another Jackie Chan article.

He is full of sh*t. First he leaves nothing, now he leaves everything … with absolutely NO mention of his other (known) child (and how many other children we don’t know about)

  5. the more jacky speak the more i doubt if he take cannabis himself. or is he really the drunkenmaster?

  6. “If I don’t leave my assets to Jaycee, whom will I leave it to?”

    Um, how about Etta Ng?

    1. She did say that she couldn’t take any money from him and that she’s going to raise the daughter alone so….maybe it’s also her decision

    2. Even in real life, daughter wont inherit much of the fortune lar. If no money use can ask from brother.

    3. Wonder if Jaycee Chan (the legal heir) can “bulldoze”/fight (with his HUGE inheritance) Etta Ng (the illegitimate child) in court IF she were left any inheritance. Hmmm…

Maybe Jackie Chan’s question is a snub at his legal wife (who may remarry and share Jackie Chan’s fortune with her new beau)?

      1. But I think jaycee is close with etta and her mum. Theywere photographed many times having meals together and jaycee visits his ‘sister’ occasionally.

      2. That will depend how much the daughter will get. If less, no. If more substantial, perhaps.

  7. Since the day he rejected Etta Ng he illegitimate daughter I have no longer respect to this guy. If Karma doesn’t goes to him, he son will suffer for it.

  8. It does pay for Jaycee to have gone to prison.

Otherwise, he would not have gotten a penny from his old man.

  9. Wow, that’s 1.2 billion USD.
JayCee Chan can cripple himself and never worry about money.

    1. he’s only worth $140 Million USD. Not worth billions lol. Even Hollywood’s Top actors arent worth billions lol, how can he? He’s not even top notch. Here in the states, people view him as the ching chong who only knows stewwpid kungfu. Lol. And yes i’m an ABC so being from the states, i’ve seen too many better actors.

      1. Precisely.

And the way he presents himself when on talkshows … spinning around like a monkey on Jay Leno …

Let’s just say enigmatic Mr Chow on the same talk show is wayyyyyyyy more dignified.

  10. I’m surprised Jackie Chan dares to say such thing. That’s like giving his son another reason to kill him.

  11. Where does the amount of billions of RMB come from?

  12. No regrets….. must salute him for being so carefree. Able to shoot and go with no intention to clean the shit.

  13. After converted he got around 980Million USD. wow serious so richie ah him? lol. Jaycee will very happy lor but being his son is his luck, he deserves it.

  14. The moment Jackie denies all ties with his daughter, I no longer have respect for him. I admire him as an actor, but as a man, he failed.

    Indeed, he is a hypocrite.

    1. he had an affair…it ended with a daughter he refused to acknowledge. what kind of a man is that?

  15. So the money stays within the family afterall. Donating all to charity was just lies to make him look good. I’m not even surprised at this news. Poor charities must be disappointed.

    1. Let’s hope the money won’t be used towards drugs…

  16. It would be better if he leave some money for his son and donate part of his money to charity as well.

  17. It seems as though he believes money can solve the problem. I understand that he feels bad for not spending enough time when Jaycee needed him most, but you don’t just say you’ll start spending more time with him now and dumping all the money as a way to feel better for himself.

  18. Didnt he say he wont leave a cent to his son and leave all for charity? Now his son has all? Well, how about the daughter?

    1. It is his money so he can leave it to whomever he wants, charity or otherwise. He has enough to leave it to BOTH charity and his son. As for is daughter, he doesn’t even acknowledge her, what makes you think he will include her in his Will? But never say never. 10 years down the line he may have a change of heart.

      1. It was why I asked that question. He can change his mind to give all to his son then one day he may change to give his daughter some money. However, I kinda doubt that the girl wants to receive any money from a father who never acknowledge her.

      2. Who doesn’t want money? Since father refused to acknowledge her, she may want money as the next best alternative. In all seriousness I don’t think he has any interest in giving her a single penny. Moreover I think he probably created a trust fund in her name at the time of her birth to shut her mom up. If not, as the mother, where is the money coming from and why no tell all book by now? I doubt she suddenly develop a conscience and decided not to say a thing, not when she was big enough to know when she was sleeping with him he was basically the adulterer and she was the adulteress. A confidentiality agreement is in there somewhere.

      3. Everyone want money but in some case, someone dont want money from a specific person. Here we have the daughter. I read a news she said angrily that she doesnt want anything from Jackie Chan even if he wants to give her. Elaine stayed next to her and have the same attitude.

Elaine requested Jackie to help them for years but he ignored. Now she lost all hopes on him and refused to receive anything from him. I think it affects the girl.

I kinda doubt the secret agreement as Elaine is still mad at Jackie until now. If there is a secret agreement for the daughter, her behavior will be different.

      4. “I kinda doubt the secret agreement as Elaine is still mad at Jackie until now. If there is a secret agreement for the daughter, her behavior will be different.”

Not really. If she’s so angry and she didn’t get a penny, she would have written a tell all book or such stuff. Since she didn’t and is angry my guess is she has an iron clad non disclosure clause and that is exchanged for money.

      5. @ Funn:

        Agree and Disagree.

        – Yes it’s his money.
        – Yes who knows knows what this crap dad who is so full of bs will do 10 yrs later. Also, who knows if Joan Lin is not around (she seems more the dominant force who is quiet, but really controls the fort and finances) – what he will do?

Dude doesn’t seem to have much of a brain to think anything through – often puts his foot in his mouth talking rubbish too.

        – NO to this: “Who doesn’t want money?”
        2 reasons:
尊严 (as they say in Mandarin)/Dignity
骨气 (as they say in Cantonese)/Backbone

If they have been without, they are probably willing to remain without.

I do NOT support Elaine the mother for having that affair with Jackie, knowing full well he’s married.
BUT I consider the dude as 50% responsible for cheating on his wife, and facing responsibility for the consequences.
        The resulting daughter is innocent.

    2. Maybe the next time he will leave all his money to his daughter…?

      1. It is what I expected he will say next. In the end, only until his Will is revealed, we will never know that he can change how many times.

    1. sad to say…it does look like those you see in obituary page.
